The legend of Hugh Glass lives on.
After winning three Oscars, including best actor for Leonardo DiCaprio and best director for Alejandro G. Inarritu, The Revenant proved to be one of the best movies to watch in 2016.
Viewers familiar with the movie not only discussed the performance by DiCaprio, but about the story of Hugh Glass, a fur trapper who was left for dead after a bear mauling in the 1820s.
One of the big contributors to this film will have to be historian Clay Landry, who served as a technical advisor for the film. With his help, he advised on the historical accuracy for the time period on the project. The production staff consulted on the details with him from the weapons, clothing, language and even down to the buffalo meat.
Landry has plenty of stories to tell about the production and his contribution to the project.

Before I begin, please accept my heartfelt condolences. I'm really sorry to hear about the passing away of your father, Nawabuddin Siddiqui. Losing a loved one is always tragic. May his soul Rest in Peace.

Being the ultimate Godfather and a huge brand in itself, everybody (from stars to newcomers) wants to encash on the man-of-the-masses Salman Khan! Here's who all will be making the most of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to get enough traction. Take a look:

Nawazuddin Siddiqui was not at home when his wife gave birth to his son Yaani on May 19 which incidentally happens to be Nawaz's birthday. "It will remain a matter of regret forever. I was shooting far away from home when my son was born. So I missed that moment when he came into our family," says Nawaz. The actor is now trying to spend as much time as possible with his newly-born. But his impossible schedules are a challenge for Nawaz to take out as much family time as possible. "I am promoting Bajrangi Bhaijaan with Salmanbhai. That's barely done, when I start promoting my next film Mountain Man which releases in August 21," sighs Nawaz. While Nawaz plays a supporting role in Bajrangi Bhaijaan, he is cast as the lead in Mountain Man. Nawaz says he is not aiming at positioning himself in any specific way in the filmy hierarchy.

It was way back in 2013, early March to be precise when we had met Nawazuddin Siddiqui, just after he had completed the shooting of Ketan Mehta's Manjhi - The Mountain Man, in Agra. The shooting venue was a railway track with Taj Mahal as the back drop.
The master actor, still in the get up and character of the film, was very excited and recounted how he had met the concerned families to get those perfect nuances that he is now well known for. He oozed with confidence about Manjhi - The Mountain Man.
Why are we getting nostalgic? The reason is very simple. We thought that Manjhi - The Mountain Man would turn out to be a good and classy film, but belong to that niche art house cinema.
However when we saw the trailer, it was an amazing experience, as the promo turned to be quite lively and not dull and stark.

It's a double treat for Bollywood's much loved actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui! While on one end he is gearing up for the upcoming film Bajrangi Bhaijaan starring Salman Khan (that is releasing on Eid), Nawaz is also raring to catch the trailer of his yet another film Mountain Man, which will be out this week.
Nawaz, who claims Mountain Man close to his heart, is very excited as its trailer about to release. While the film, which was in the making for long time, hits cinemas in August, the trailer is out this week. With just few days to go for the grand trailer launch, the makers have come up with a countdown to the most awaited trailer.

The 100, Season 2, Episode 13, “Resurrection”
Written by Bruce Miller
Directed by Dean White
Airs Wednesdays at 9pm (Et) on The CW
On this week’s The 100, Clarke, Lexa, and Lincoln track down a sniper, Abby attempts to rescue Kane, Jasper and Co. fight back against the Mountain Men, and Octavia temporarily leads the remaining Grounders.
“Resurrection” is a master class in handling the aftermath of an attack, as the episode never loses its intensity or urgency, even when pausing for heavy moments of character reflection or development. While The 100 could’ve taken a breather after last week’s emotional stunner, the show knows better–after all, as Bellamy says during the hour, “war is coming.” There’s no time for the characters to take a break and prepare.
The cold open sets the stage for the episode nicely, as Clarke witnesses the aftermath of the missile in an incredibly well-directed,...

In spite of the honorable Kerala court's order staying the release of Ketan Mehta's long-awaited bio-pic Rang Rasiya on the father of calendar art Raja Ravi Varma, the film is being released on time.
After Varma's grand-daughter objected to the film's content, the court demanded a disclaimer be added before the film's credit titles stating that the film has no connection with the personal life of Raja Ravi Varma.
Says a source close to the film, "The dispatch of all prints of Rang Rasiya was stopped. The following disclaimer has been added, "This film is a dramatized version of the novel "Raja Ravi Varma" by Ranjit Desai and does not claim to be a true story. This film pays homage to Art and Artists and does not intend to malign the image of any person living or dead."
Ketan Mehta is no stranger to his bio-pics getting embroiled in controversies.

I came across an energetic and fun grindhouse style short that pays homage to the zombie films of the 1980s. The film is called Buck Savage In: The City of the Damned, and it centers on Mountain Man, Buck Savage, who fights to reclaim the city that he once called home from the plague of the walking dead. The short was directed by Uke Doiron and Derek R. Brigham for Through the Door LLC, and even though it's a little rough around the edges, it's still worth watching because the short's lead, Rick Dalton, is awesome. ...

Considered one of the best actors in Hindi cinema, Nawazuddin Siddique has had audiences and critics the world over applaud his performances. With each new part, the actor awes with his incredible talent and ability to get totally lost within his roles. He has wowed in films like Patang, Gangs of Wasseypur, Bombay Talkies, Talaash, and most recently The Lunchbox. The actor will next be seen in Salman Khan’s big budget action packed film. Kick. We really don’t know much about his character except that he is an enemy of Salman’s character Devil. A gangster named Aslam.
I got the opportunity to have a very, very quick but interesting chat with Nawazuddin about Kick. Check it out!
The actor revealed something very interesting about how he became a part of the project. “When they were writing the script, Sajid Nadiadwala said this role will only do for Nawaz.

There is heartening news for Ketan Mehta's film Mountain Man on Dashrath Manjhi, the impoverished man from the Gaya district of Bihar who cut a road through the mountain in his unreachable village, with his hands. Viacom 18 has acquired the film and are all set to release it worldwide. Rejoicing in the glad tidings actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui who plays the title role in Mountain Man says, "It's the best thing that could've happened to a film like this. Mountain Man is not a small film. It is a very big film because it tells the story of an extraordinary man." Nawaz injured his leg while shooting on location for Mountain Man "This has been my toughest film to shoot. I pushed myself emotionally and physically beyond all endurance. And then to have the film being released in a small way would be heartbreaking." Nawaz says he has been through that heartbreaking process.

B hiwani is one of the twenty-three films selected for the co- production market of Film Bazaar 2013. We spoke to the director Mahendra Jakhar:
Mahendra Jakhar
Tell us about your project. What language will it be in?
Bhiwani is set in the deep, dark abyss of Haryana, and is about a family with a teenage boy as the sole bread-winner. He is a part of the harsh world where Jats, Khap Panchayat and politicians rule the society. He stands against it only to be boycotted by the whole community. He takes up boxing and the sport of boxing itself becomes a fight against the society he lives in. The sport of boxing slowly works a process of change in the society, asking questions that no one dared to ask before.
Which stage of development is it in currently?
We have completed the first draft of the script, and still have a long way to go.

Kolkata, Oct 10: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui Thursday said acting in the film "Mountain Man" was a "huge challenge", while the movie "Anwar Ka Ajab Kissa" was like an experiment for him.
Director Ketan Mehta's biopic "Mountain Man" is set in 1960 in Bihar. Based on a true story, the film is about a man named Dashrath Manjhi, who carved a path through a mountain in memory of his wife.
"(In 'Mountain Man') I play a variety of age groups..from a child to a middle-aged man to a 75-year-old in the film. This was the most tough character I have ever played in my life... it was a huge challenge," Siddiqui told mediapersons here while promoting his forthcoming films.
The film also stars Tigmanshu Dhulia, Radhika Apte and Prashant.

Kolkata, Oct 10: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who believes in method acting, Thursday said he would do Hollywood films if the role offered is not cliched and is substantial in length.
Siddiqui is known for his roles in films like "Kahaani", "Talaash" and "Gangs of Wasseypur". If given a chance to work in Hollywood, he would not make the jump just for the sake of it.
"I would like to do a bigger role in Hollywood films...I hope I don't get to play bit parts. Other actors who do Hollywood movies jump at the opportunity, but their roles turn out to be small. Mumbai, Aug 5: Showing rare grace and sincerity, filmmaker Manish Jha has decided to abandon plans for making a biopic on Dashrath Manjhi, the man who dug a roadway out of a mountain that separated his village in Bihar from the nearest hospital.
A few months back, filmmaker Ketan Mehta decided to make a film on the Mountain Man with Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the lead, precipitating a legal war with Manish Jha and his producer who claimed their idea had been stolen by a writer and sold to Ketan Mehta.
But now Jha sees the matter more rationally.
"I think it's important that Dashrath Manjhi's story be told. It doesn't matter.

But now Manish sees the matter more rationally. Says Jha, "I think it's important that Darshrath Manjhi's story be told. It doesn't matter who tells it. I guess somewhere I was being egoistic by insisting on making my own film on the subject even when I heard Ketan was doing it. I did feel cheated because I had started work on the subject many years ago.
