Adding another role to her already impressive resume, Julianne Moore announced she will appear in the upcoming film "Freeheld."
The 53-year-old actress will star alongside Ellen Page as a New Jersey police detective whose world was shattered when she became terminally ill and government officials prevented her from assigning pension benefits to her domestic partner.
Julianne's exciting news came just a few days after Ellen revealed she is gay at Time to Thrive, a conference supporting the Lgbt community.
While chatting about Miss Page's declaration, the "Carrie" actress stated, "It was really wonderful. I was very happy for her."
In regards to "Freeheld," Miss Moore said, "It's great. I'm excited about it."...

Taking care of some promotional duties, Alexander Skarsgard and Ellen Page showed up at the Hollywood premiere of “The East” last night (May 28).
The “True Blood” hunk looked cool and confident in a black suit with a simple white shirt as he worked his red carpet magic outside the ArcLight Cinema.
Meanwhile, Miss Page donned a sleeveless little black dress and greeted fans and press with a modest smile.
Ellen told press that she chose “The East” because of the opportunity to get out of her comfort zone. “The idea of going in and getting to be vulnerable is one of the reasons why I love my job. I mean, maybe the biggest reason. We live in a society that encourages us to not really feel that much emotion and doesn’t really praise vulnerability as much as it should. I think being vulnerable is actually a very courageous thing,...

Her career has spanned over a couple of decades, and through it Miss Page has popped up in some unexpected places, and positions... She describes herself as "a bubbly sort of child-woman" from the valleys (the place, not the MTV show).
After recently joining the Whoniverse, we wonder just what else there is to know about the Gavin & Stacey star?
1. Born to her father Nigel, a mechanic, and her mother Susan, a financial services worker, in 1978. She was an only child to her doting parents and explained: "As a girl I literally could do anything and they would think it was amazing." She went on...
