Holger Rune is not bothered by coach Boris Becker's past and admits his solitary job is to coach him and "not to do anything else."
Becker, a former World No. 1 and winner of six Grand Slam singles titles in a highly successful 16-year playing career, is considered among the greatest tennis players of all time. But he is living with a tainted off-court reputation following a criminal conviction by the UK courts in 2022.
The German tennis great declared bankruptcy in the UK in 2017 but failed to disclose to creditors and the bankruptcy trustee details of hidden assets and loans under his name.
Consequently, he was sentenced to two and half years in prison after being convicted of four charges under the Insolvency Act. Becker went through a chilling experience in a British prison last year for a period of eight months before he was deported to his homeland in December.

Recently, Nick Kyrgios made an interesting statement that got many former tennis players, and tennis coaches talking.
Currently absent from the Atp Tour, the Australian has spent some time doing media duties, talking to multiple publications and appearing on numerous podcasts while recovering from an injury.
On one of those appearances, Kyrgios said that Novak Djokovic would destroy the likes of Pete Sampras, claiming that many former tennis greats would struggle in this era.
However, many quickly started discussing whether Kyrgios' comments were fair since eras are difficult to compare, and one of the former players who jumped in was Boris Becker, who immediately called out the Australian's "credibility."
But he wasn't the only one, as Serena Williams' former coach and former doubles world no. 1, Rennae Stubbs, also commented on the matter, supporting Becker's claims about eras being incomparable.
"Well said Boris, sports evolve. Tennis players get faster, stronger,...

Nick Kyrgios and Boris Becker both like to be respected, and that clearly showed in their recent spat on social media.
The 28-year-old made quite a few media appearances over the past few weeks, and during one of those, Kyrgios made a claim about past generations of players, saying they wouldn't stand a chance today.
One of the past leaders on the Atp Tour, Boris Becker, didn't like that statement, and he made sure to voice his opinion on social media, saying that Kyrgios has no "credibility" because he has never won a singles Grand Slam title.
That was a statement that the Australian didn't like, and he immediately hit back at the German coach with a series of tweets, trying to prove his statement about credibility wrong.
"Hahahaha this bloke speaking about credibility…… last I checked you were the one hiding assets no?"
After mentioning the incident, which forced...

Holger Rune posted pictures on Instagram from his most recent practice week in Monaco, including Boris Becker , who created a rumour mill.
Rune is not having a very good time on the tennis courts lately despite snapping his seven-match losing streak in Asia. His worst outing in the last two months was his last one, as he lost to Brandon Nakashima in a match that left many of his fans frustrated.
He's not playing well at all at the moment, and it's really starting to impact his approach to matches as he faltered uncharacteristically in the match against Nakashima.
Still, he's working hard to better himself and get back to winning ways, and towards that goal, Rune possibly enlisted the help of Boris Becker, who has experience with coaching.
The German was present during Rune's practices in Monte-Carlo, which could, in fairness, be just a coincidence or a one-off involvement of the German coach.

Novak Djokovic is halfway to the calendar grand slam but his former coach Boris Becker thinks he shouldn't play into the narrative.
Novak Djokovic came incredibly close to the calendar grand slam in 2021 when he made his way almost all the way to the US Open. He only needed to beat Daniil Medvedev to create incredible history but he failed.
He proved human, crumbling under tremendous pressure. In fairness, Medvedev played a superb match but Djokovic didn't play to his level. The narrative during all of that event was the calendar grand slam and he was asked about it all the time forcing him to plead with reporters to not ask him anymore about it.
The pressure was palpable and it didn't help. If he wins Wimbledon, as many expect him to, Djokovic will have a chance to prove he learned from that previous experience. The narratives already started.

Boris Becker followed Roland Garros closely for the German Eurosport channel and he was impressed by what Iga Swiatek did.
In an exclusive talk with Eurosport Becker talked about what he saw from Iga Swiatek who lifted her 4th grand slam trophy in Paris recently . It was a complicated event for Swiatek who entered it with injury concerns but ultimately she managed to emerge victorious. It was tough, the toughest one of her 3 but that proved a real champion mindset.
Even when she's not playing and her best and possibly isn't fully physically fit, she was able to overcome a very inspired opponent who was playing some of the best tennis she ever played. There are very few players that take their tennis career as seriously as Swiatek does as she continues to build her legacy. She aims for much more and former player Becker has no reason to doubt her.

Alex Gibney, perhaps the world’s most prolific documentary filmmaker at the moment, has an obsession with power — and hubris. He’s taken on everyone from corrupt corporate execs (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room) and the Church of Scientology (Going Clear) to Theranos grifter Elizabeth Holmes (The Inventor) and the Trump administration (Totally Under Control).
