- Bryan is the oldest of three siblings.
- He was born to parents John Peter Casserly and Elena Renee Nelson. His father is a teacher and his mother works in health insurance.
- Bryan is of German, Irish, Scottish descent.
- He is related to president George Washington, as well as Meriwether Lewis and American pioneer Daniel Boone.
- Bryan had a newspaper article written about him when he was 3 years old after a sports writer watched him mimic Houston Astros pitcher Nolan Ryan. The article was about the influence athletes have on young children.
- In 7th grade Bryan was picked for the lead role in a stage play at his Jr. high.
- At the age of 8 Bryan's mom signed him up to be an extra on the made for television movie A Woman of Independent Means with Sally Field and Ron Silver. This would be his first experience acting.
- His mother, Renee Casserly, held two national records in track & field.
- In the summer of 2005 Bryan attended Marine Military Academy.
- Bryan works for Ridley Scotts production company, RSA.
- At the age of 13 Bryan met Trey Shults and Justin Chan and they began making movies at their parents house and around the neighborhood. They would later all come together in their 20's to make the film Krisha that was well received around the world in different film festivals.
