- Musician, co-producer of the band The Naked and Famous.
- Received 5 awards at the 2011 New Zealand Music Awards, including Album Of The Year & Song Of The Year.
- So much of my producing, particularly with The Naked And Famous, has been in environments where you're on the move without a studio. Although I am a huge fan of hardware and used more on this Space Above record than ever before, there is one device that has ended up in every session I have worked on, and that is iZotope Trash.
- [on his Space Above project] Writing these songs for me was definitely a way of switching off all the noise and being very present in the moment. This theme continued to grow throughout the album. It's about taking each moment as it comes with a sense of acceptance, whether it be something light and delicate or heavy and aggressive.
- [How has your music evolved since you first began playing music together?] Well ... we've all gotten a lot better at our instruments, how's that to start with? Along with that, there was a really drastic jump between the first two EPs and the album. During the EP stages, things were kept quite stripped back and minimal, whereas with the album, we really got to go all out with the production and add so many more layers to what we were working with. This was partly to do with the fact that we'd converted the band from a four-piece to a five-piece outfit and then being capable of doing so much more live.
- [How long have you all known each other?] We're from New Zealand. I thought everyone knew everyone?
