- Brooke is a Personal Development Coach, Property Investor and Visual Effects Artist for film and television. Born and raised in London, England, Brooke dreamed of working in film from a young teenager. She loved the idea of brave, strong characters, extraordinary worlds and uplifting stories. After studying film at A-Level and Undergraduate level, she went on to do a Masters in Visual Effects, because she decided that these worlds and characters, that don't exist in the real world, were worth bringing to life on the screen for audiences to believe the impossible.
Brooke relied heavily on personal development and motivational books and speeches to strive for a life she wanted. Whilst trying to gain access to the competitive visual effects industry in London, Brooke worked at a bowling alley in Essex to support herself during university, and after. Though Brooke enjoyed serving customers and having an attitude to "give it her all" no matter what her role, she kept focused on her goal of one day having her name in the credits on the big screen.
In 2011, Brooke took a video editing position at a financial training company. Though this was an interim job, she gained experience in the world of training others which would later become an asset.
In 2013, Brooke got her first opportunity in the film industry, with Prime Focus, as an intern for 2 months, along with 11 others, working on The Number Station (2013), creating stereoscopic 3D. Making an impression, she gained an artist contract along with one other intern to continue working at Prime Focus for a year. Brooke's first credits on the big screen were Maleficent (2014) and Edge of Tomorrow (2014). Having her name in the credits of a cinema release was Brooke's dream come true. It was this particular weekend, when she saw both films with her name in the credits, that she really started to believe anything was possible.
When Prime Focus closed their London studio in the summer of 2014, Brooke was more determined than ever. She went back to the bowling alley to cover expenses, but continued to seek out opportunities in the film industry with a year of experience under her belt. Being grateful to be offered a role back in the film industry, she took a runner position at MPC in January of 2015. She already enjoyed customer service and now she was in an environment that could help her career progress, whilst helping others. With Brooke's passion for serving others, she was offered to take the position of Head Runner after only 3 weeks in the role. It was obvious to Brooke that the other runners were not supportive, but Brooke did her best to fulfill the role and manage her peers' perspective as she was conscious of the character she wanted to develop. At the same time Brooke received two digital artist offers, one from Gener8 in Vancouver and another from Framestore in London. Brooke had dreamed of one day working at Framestore since watching The Golden Compass (2007) and seeing Framestore in the credits, wishing to be amongst them. In February of 2015 Brooke accepted the Paint Roto Artist position at Framestore.
Working with personal development Brooke gave everything she had to this new position that she had worked hard to get to. She wasn't about to take her foot off the pedal. Within a year she became a mentor to a new apprentice initiative within the company. And a year following that, in 2016, Brooke became a Lead Paint Roto Artist on Thor: Ragnarok (2017), leading a team of 28 artists, in-house and remotely. Brooke thrived in this role and found purpose in helping and leading others.
After this, Brooke was ready for her next challenge and trained to become a compositor. With the help of a mentor she secured a compositing role within Framestore only a few months after finishing on Thor: Ragnarok (2017). Brooke always believed in mentors and coaches to guide her towards her goals and pays that forward by helping others herself. With less responsibility in this role, Brooke looked elsewhere for further personal progress. She started to reassess her goals, not just within her career but started to put a life vision together.
In 2016, Brooke began researching and creating her financial freedom in hopes of living a life of "freedom of choice". Trying out different avenues; Forex trading, Amazon selling, property investing, to name a few, it was the property investing that took off. Brooke had grown up around the industry and had seen many bad examples of landlords. She had also been a tenant herself, with good and bad landlords. Brooke believed that this financial avenue took off, whilst the others didn't because it was connected with her purpose of helping others. Brooke had a passion for creating quality homes, and a quality service for tenants, to give them freedom to make the house their own home.
In 2019 Brooke found herself needing another new challenge. This time she looked at her career and decided to leave Framestore for a smaller company in hopes of gaining more responsibility to progress faster. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic hit just as Brooke made the jump to One Of Us. Brooke found herself working from home at a new company. It was not what she had in mind, but once again turned to personal development to enhance her progress as a person during this time. As there wasn't much scope to progress in this environment in her career, Brooke decided to take a personal development course in hopes of understanding the process she had been taking for many years, but this time, as a structured course. She was intrigued about the idea of helping others achieve their goals and creating a life of choice for themselves, as she was doing, but first, she wanted to understand it as a structured process.
In 2020, Brooke went through a personal development course and, in 2021, became a Lifebook Leader. Brooke discovered the power of using all areas of her life, instead of setting goals in just career and financial. This journey led to Brooke adding to her property portfolio and living in Barbados and helping others to set and accomplish their goals. Whilst still taking contracts in the film and television industry as a compositor, she was able to choose the projects she wanted to take. The freedom of choice she was looking for.
Now, in 2022, Brooke splits her time between Barbados, the UK and travelling Asia, and most importantly always finding new ways to help and inspire others; either through film and television, property or personal development.
Brooke's future aspirations are to create a charity for the homeless, where she provides a home and a service to take them through personal development, to not only get off the streets but to live as fully as they want to live. She dreams of teaching them to thrive, and not to just survive.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
