A trailer for Prey has just arrived online – and no, we’re not talking about that Predator movie that was just released a while back. This is a new movie called Prey, which Vertical will be giving a theatrical and VOD release on March 15th. It seems kind of soon to be sending another movie called Prey out into the world, but clearly Vertical disagrees. Ryan Phillippe (Shooter), Emile Hirsch (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), and Mena Suvari (American Beauty) star in this “nature run amok” survival thriller, and you can check out the trailer in the embed above. A poster for the film can be seen at the bottom of this article.
Written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil, who previously worked with Phillippe on the 2022 thriller Collide and with Hirsch on the 2022 thriller The Immaculate Room, Prey has the following synopsis: After an extremist militant group threatens their lives,...

Exclusive: Ryan Phillippe (American Murderer), Emile Hirsch (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Mena Suvari (American Horror Story) will topline Kalahari, a new action thriller from Vertical, which has wrapped production.
Vertical fully financed the pic and has taken North American rights, with Voltage Pictures locking down rights for all international territories, preparing now to present the film to buyers at Cannes.
In the film written and directed by Mukunda Michael Dewil (Collide), a young couple is forced to flee their Christian missionary post in the Kalahari Desert aboard a rickety plane after an extremist militant group threatens their lives. Piloted by a corrupt smuggler (Hirsch), the plane loses power and crash-lands in the middle of an animal preserve populated by lions, leopards and hyenas. Injured, frightened, and being tracked by the extremists, this ragtag group must fight for their survival from both man and beast where only the strong will survive.

Judging from the marketing of The Tutor, you’d be forgiven for mistaking the film for a contemporary queer update of a film like The Crush (1993). While not exclusively the purview of the 90s, a film like The Crush – in which an underage “sexpot” with a malicious streak ensnares an older man in her web of sexual intrigue – prospered in the era of Erotic Thrillers, Dtv and Vcrs.
Films in which adults are tempted into sexual relationships with minors are considered taboo for mainstream contemporary audiences. This is why the marketing of The Tutor was intriguing: the trailer suggests that rich, privileged teen Jackson (Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp) unfairly accuses his working class tutor Ethan (Garrett Hedlund) of improper behaviour. The young man then begins to stalk and effectively ruin the life of the older man, jeopardizing his reputation and the status of his relationship with pregnant girlfriend, Annie (Victoria Justice...

Josh Flagg from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles got a little shady on Watch What Happens Live when he claimed to not know that Mauricio Umansky had a show.
A virtual Wwhl fan asked Flagg and co-guest Tracy Tutor if they considered Umansky to be their biggest real estate competitor and their thoughts on his Netflix show Buying Beverly Hills. “I didn’t know he had a show,” Flagg said looking perplexed.

Meanwhile, Tutor had nothing but love for Buying Beverly Hills. “I think it’s adorable. I love watching Farrah,” she said.
She added, “I think she’s just a little boss. I think the family dynamic is super sweet with them and I celebrate them. So congratulations.”

Perhaps Flagg’s shade came from being outranked by Altman.

This comes after Fredrik Eklund, James Harris, and David Parnes stepped away from the series. And judging by the teaser, sales records may not be the only thing broken. Here Tutor sells TV Insider on what’s to come on Mdlla ahead of the premiere. With the exit of Fredrik, James, and David, how would you describe the dynamic this season? Tracy Tutor: I have a great relationship with James and David.

This article contains mild Moon Knight spoilers.
You wouldn’t know it if you watched the Disney+ TV series, but Moon Knight is a superhero with at least one foot planted firmly in the spookier corners of the Marvel Universe. The character first appeared as an antagonist in an issue of Werewolf by Night, for one thing, and because of his ties to an Egyptian moon god of vengeance has always flirted with the supernatural. Never has that been more true than in the current Moon Knight comic series, where the hero has opened the Midnight Mission, protecting “those who travel by night” from threats both earthly and unearthly, and populating its supporting cast and antagonists with vampires.
“The touchstone we had when we started the series was, I wanted Moon Knight back where I thought he worked best, which is on the street,” Moon Knight writer Jed MacKay tells our Marvel Standom podcast.
