Despite co-starring Jackie Chan and John Cena and costing $80,000,000 Hidden Strike, originally titled Project X-Traction, has sat on a shelf for five years before just now turning up on Netflix. That raises more than a few questions about its quality because you don’t sit on something like that without a reason. Usually a very good reason.
Set sometime in “the near future” a Chinese-owned refinery in Iraq is under attack by unnamed rebel forces. A team of mercenaries under the command of Luo Feng is sent in to evacuate all 498 employees, including his estranged daughter Mei, down the Highway of Death to the safety of Baghdad Green Zone.
Elsewhere, Chris Van Horne an ex-Marine who remained in Iraq after the war needs money to repair the water system for the village he lives in.

"I'm just taking back what they owe us..." XYZ Films has revealed an official trailer for Hidden Strike, an intense new action movie set in Iraq following a special ops team trying to escape safely, like so many other films being made right now. Originally called S.N.A.F.U. or Project X-traction, the Chinese production is set to launch sometime later this year. When an oil refinery in Iraq is attacked, Jackie Luo, a Chinese security professional, is tasked with keeping the company's employees safe. When Luo discovers that the attackers' intent is to steal the oil – he gets the help of Chris Van Horne, an American former Marine, and together they try to stop them and escape to the safety of the Green Zone. Starring John Cena, Jackie Chan, Pilou Asbæk, Amadeus Serafini, Minghao Hou, and Zhenwei Wang. This looks like Mad Max meets Rush Hour set in.

"Do you feel that...?" "I do." "So what do you think that is?" MGM Studios has revealed an official trailer for the indie ensemble drama Summer Days, Summer Nights, the latest film made by actor / filmmaker Edward Burns. This originally premiered way back in 2018 but is only now finally getting a release direct-to-vod this year. Best way to get over a broken heart? Fall in love again... It's the summer of 1982 on Long Island. JJ is working for his dad, when he falls for Debbie. Frankie reconnects with a long lost love. But as temperatures cool, so do their relationships, leaving the young men to accept summer is ending. Edward Burns is joined by a breakout cast including Anthony Ramos, Pico Alexander, Zoe Levin, Lindsey Morgan, Jon Rudnitsky, Amadeus Serafini, Caitlin Stasey, and Rita Volk. This looks like a charming throwback look at love in the 80s and summer romance.

Alien Day in April may have been filled with Xenomorph-related news, but MTV took center stage by announcing that season 3 of Scream will feature an entirely new cast, story, and setting. While fans of the show are still saying goodbye to the Lakewood survivors from the first two seasons, character details for the series' new group of high schoolers have been revealed.
TVLine has unveiled the details for five characters from the upcoming third season of Scream. While these descriptions are likely a good template of what to expect, don't be surprised if the exact names and all of the details don't translate fully to the screen versions of the characters, as sometimes the casting information isn't 100% used in the final product.

Warning: If you haven’t watched the Season 2 finale of “Scream” yet, spoilers are ahead.
MTV’s “Scream,” the television show inspired by the successful film franchise, ended its second season on Tuesday night by revealing a final surprise prepared by season one killer Piper (Amelia Rose Blaire) and Kieran (Amadeus Serafini), a disclosure that gradually revealed itself as the finale approached. Choosing this path was perhaps the closest the show had ever come to recreating the spirit of the Wes Craven film series.
The season finale — the strongest of a very uneven season — finally celebrated Craven’s work openly. Making references to all of the previous “Scream” films, the episode offered fans of the original story a chance to relive it in more modern ways. An opening car crash scene was strikingly similar to a moment in the second film, and other instances and dialogue closely recreated portions of the other films.

Based on the slasher movies, this TV series wasn't exactly a "killer" in the ratings but it did well enough for MTV to renew Scream for a second season. Will the ratings rise or fall this time around? Cancelled or renewed for season three? Stay tuned.
Season two of the Scream TV show picks up with Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald) returning to Lakewood. She's spent several months at a retreat and hopes to put the horrific events of last season behind her. Good luck with that. The rest of the cast includes Amadeus Serafini, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Carlson Young, Conner Weil, John Karna, Kiana Lede, Santiago Segura, Sean Grandillo, Tom Maden, and Mike Vaughn (voice only).

If you enjoyed the first season of MTV’s Scream: The TV Series, you should undoubtedly enjoy what the show has to offer in the Season 2 premiere, as not only do we get another murder mystery to dig deep into, but we also get a few new major storylines, more flushed-out characters, and a viciously blunt killing to kick things off in grand, gory style.
As far as the story goes, Scream: S2 picks back up with the Lakewood Six several months after the murder spree that uprooted their lives and changed their small community forever. It’s revealed that Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) had been away receiving deep therapy for the trauma she had undergone after being nearly filleted by last season’s killer and it has left her relationship with Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) strained to say the very least. When Emma returns, she’s greeted awkwardly with a surprise party thrown by Kieran,...

Calling all Scream fans!
People has an exclusive look at the season 1 Scream: The TV Series blooper reel, and it's giving fans of the MTV show a chance to see all of the fun moments that happened behind the scenes.
In the beginning of the video, someone on the phone tells Emma Duval (Willa Fitzgerald), "I can be anywhere," which causes Duval to lock a window.
"What you should be really asking is did you just lock me in or out?" says the caller.
"If you're in this house, I swear to God," threatens Duval before an operator surprisingly says:...

There’s something we’ve got to talk about before we can talk about the final three episodes of Scream, and that’s about the sad passing of Wes Craven on Sunday, August 30th. We wouldn’t have this show without Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson’s Scream franchise, which is one of the only horror franchises without a single bad installment. Just as we began watching the season’s fourth episode, “Aftermath”, my friend turned to me and jokingly remarked, “Isn’t it sickening how fucking rich these kids are?” We laughed, but then the episode did something we weren’t expecting—it laughed with us. The show had unexpectedly, yet very enjoyably, turned on its characters. It agreed, it is sickening how fucking rich these kids are.
This was completely different from where the show stood on how it wanted its audience to perceive its characters in the first three episodes. The first episode ended with Noah telling Riley and the audience that “You have to care about these characters, so when they do get killed, you feel it.” The first three episodes had the intent of making the audience root for the characters,...

The tensions are rising along with the body count on MTV's Scream TV series, and last week at Comic-Con, Daily Dead took part in roundtable interviews with the show's cast, who discussed mixing creepy moments with comedy, the original Scream films, and much more.
Amadeus Serafini on his suspicious, new-in-town character, Kieran Wilcox:
"He's the brooding type. He is the new kid in town. He just lost his folks a few weeks back and that's the introduction to Lakewood, and he very much makes a move on Willa [Fitzgerald's] character Emma, and has a clash where it becomes a love triangle between Connor [Weil's] character, Will, Emma, and himself. That's pretty much all I can reveal for the time being and you're going to see how it unfolds over the course of this series."
Serafini on whether or not his parents' deaths were truly an accident:
"You're going to have to wait and see.
