The best-selling British novelist Jeffrey Archer is set to have his work adapted for film and television across foreign-language territories, with an initial focus on viewers in India, the rest of Asia, and the Middle East.
The millionaire author, known for stories such as Kane and Abel – a trilogy being developed in collaboration with Eleven and Sony Television International, as was recently announced – and the Clifton Chronicles, has sold more than 275 million copies of his books worldwide and topped the Sunday Times bestseller list 27 times.

The Jeffrey Archer Company and Dream Bay Entertainment have entered into a strategic partnership to adapt the bestselling author’s works for television and film internationally, with an initial focus on Indian, Asian and the Middle Eastern markets.

Archer’s works have been published in 114 countries in more than 47 languages and with 275 million copies sold worldwide. As revealed by Variety, “Sex Education” producer Eleven and Sony Television International are adapting Archer’s bestselling “Kane and Abel” trilogy for television. Archer is also known for his Clifton Chronicles series of books and the William Warwick series.

A pair of top international executives have joined forces to build a UK-based talent agency and production business.
Thomas Drachkovitch and Jason Hafford will lead Dream Bay Entertainment, with former Amazon exec Drachkovitch the founder and Managing Director and ex-CAA rep Hafford co-founder and Head of Dbe Management.
The company, which Drachkovitch launched last year after exiting his role at Amazon Studios (now Amazon MGM Studios), comprises film and television production, literary and talent management, and media advisory services divisions. Based out of London, Dream Bay’s bosses plan to offer “a unique blend of strategic guidance, development expertise, and industry insights.”

Original Series Development Executive Thomas Drachkovitch is exiting after seven years in Amazon’s bases in cities such as LA, Mumbai and London, where he worked on the likes of Call My Agent! UK adaptation Ten Percent and Three Pines from The Crown producer Left Bank.
Deadline understands Drachkovitch’s contract at Amazon had come to an end and has not been renewed. He will remain in London but it’s not yet known what his next move will be.
While at Amazon Studios, he focused on developing scripted, unscripted and films in local languages. He was most recently based in India, where he helped Amazon Studios launch its debut original series, which received the country’s first-ever Emmy nominations.
