Mariano Melman Carrara is an Emmy and Annie nominated Senior VFX Producer.
With a career spanning over 15 years, Mariano has honed his production and creative development skills at the forefront of both traditional and interactive storytelling.
Throughout his career, Mariano has contributed his diverse expertise to the production of episodic format animation for the world-leading meditation app Headspace, Spike Jonze's science fiction film "Her," and the acclaimed Stevan Riley documentary "Listen to Me Marlon."
In 2016, Mariano produced the '1600' AR app for President Obama's administration, which enables anyone with a smartphone or tablet and a $1 bill to take a tour of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Mariano's portfolio also includes producing Annie nominated Google Spotlight Stories such as "Rain or Shine" (named by Variety magazine as the most interactive Spotlight Story to date) and the Emmy-nominated "Back to the Moon," which launched as the first-ever VR-enabled Google Doodle, as well as projects for high-profile clients such as Meta, Marks & Spencer, Unilever, IBM, and Microsoft.
In recent years, Mariano has lent his expertise to the production of VFX content for several feature films, including "Expend4bles", "The Offering", "Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard," "Jolt," and "The Protégé."
Before joining Worldwide FX London, Mariano served as a Producer at Nexus Studios and Passion Pictures in London.
A sought-after speaker and juror, Mariano has attended several international animation festivals.
