Len Amato, a 13-year veteran of HBO, joined MasterClass as chief content officer at the company that sells subscriptions to celebrity-led online courses.
In the new role, Amato will head up MasterClass’ content organization and help lead content innovation, strategy and development of class launches. He reports to David Rogier, founder and CEO of MasterClass.

Valen Tong, who formerly served as the chief business officer for Beauty For All Industries (Bfa), will oversee the finance organization at MasterClass and help to scale long-term growth. She will report to MasterClass founder and CEO David Rogier.
Tong isn’t a stranger to the digital video space. Bfa is the parent company of beauty subscription brands like Ipsy (founded by YouTube pioneer Michelle Phan) and BoxyCharm, which frequently sponsors influencers). Bfa is also the parent of Madeby Collective, an incubator that launched Addison Rae’s beauty brand, Item Beauty.

At Disney, Krantz served as CFO for Disney Plus, ESPN Plus, and Disney's streaming technology subsidiary BAMTech Media -- and has departed to join MasterClass in the same CFO role, Variety report. Disney CEO Bob Iger has spent a lot of time lately looking back on his 14-year stint leading one of the world’s preeminent media and entertainment companies. On Thursday, MasterClass announced that Iger will teach a course on business strategy and leadership he’s learned.
In an exclusive clip from the class, Iger revisits a conversation he and Apple co-founder Steve Jobs had that led to one of Disney’s most salient acquisitions: Pixar.

The course, available as of Thursday, will detail Iger’s view on the importance of taking bold steps and embracing mistakes in business. Iger also promises to dig into “case studies” of some of Disney’s big acquisitions of his tenure.
