TikTok is weaving its Pride Month celebration into its social shopping hub. The platform has revealed its annual list of the “Visionary Voices” who shine within its Lgbtqia+ community, and it is giving those creators a chance to promote queer-led businesses on TikTok Shop.
As with TikTok’s other Visionary Voices lineups — which are typically unveiled at the start of cultural heritage months — the list of LGBTQ+ influencers is separated across multiple categories. The “Creators” highlighted in a TikTok Newsroom post are a diverse selection of queer stars, including humorous fashion creator Zach Jelks and married comedians Darcy and Jer. The “Industry Disruptors” category recognizes individuals like newscaster V Spehar who have used TikTok to innovate within their respective fields.
The Visionary Voices list also include some small businesses owned by or affiliated with queer creators. Patrick Starrr’s One/Size, which emphasizes the makeup artist’s commitment to themes like acceptance and inclusion,...

A firestorm opened when Candace Cameron Bure responded to a question on whether any same-sex couples would be featured as leads on the great American Family network. She simply said no, and further elaborate by saying, “I think that Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core,” she told The Wall Street Journal Magazine. Social media went into an uproar deeming the former Full House star homophobic for excluding same-sex couples from their network. Even celebrities got in on the campaign. Jodie Sweetin, JoJo Siwa, Alyssa Milano, Patrick Starrr, and Holly Robinson Peete notably made their voices known.

The HiFi Holiday Festival, hosted by Filipinos Advancing Creative Education (F.A.C.E) in collaboration with other HiFi organizations, took over L.A.’s Historic Filipinotown on Saturday for the second consecutive year.
Held at RideBack Ranch, the event raised toy donations to ship back to less fortunate families in the Philippines while spreading holiday cheer to L.A. locals through live music, complimentary meals and festive photo-ops.
“This is one of our favorite annual community engagement programs we offer to serve those less fortunate during the holiday season,” said Lyle Del Mundo, executive director of F.A.C.E. “It’s an opportunity for some of the many talented Filipinos in entertainment to donate their time and talent to connect, inspire, and this is their reason to celebrate the season.”
The celebration featured a line-up of celebrity meet and greets with special guests like Simu Liu, Patrick Starrr, Alex Wassabi, Paris Belrec, Vincent Rodriguez III,...

Patrick Starrr is no stranger to making people look and feel like queens. The beauty influencer and entrepreneur brought that expertise to the runway as a guest judge on the first season of Drag Race Philippines, available to stream on Wow Presents Plus. And the proud Filipino American left impressed with the incredibly high standard set by the show. "The drag in the Philippines is as good as anywhere else, even with the global stars that we all know and love," Starrr exclusively told E! News. "They do not come to play. What I think I'm impressed by is the community that supports the drag community—the fashion designers, the hair stylists, the wig stylists. The fashion really, really...

Samsung has chosen a TikTok-famous animator to receive its latest 250,000 deal. The Korean electronics company recently wrapped up the second season of the competition series Exposure, which featured eight creators vying against one another in hopes of securing the coveted contract. Ben Treat, the visual artist behind the TikTok channel Frantic Frames, was named the season winner after he prevailed across a series of themed challenges.
Exposure is currently hosted by Lele Pons, the Colombian creator who was once one of the top draws on Vine. For the show's second season, Pons worked alongside Adam Wahid, whose short films have accrued more than 4.4 billion views on YouTube. Wahid led a judging panel whose rotating cast included fellow social standouts Hannah Stocking and Patrick Starrr. So it's safe to say Exposure had no shortage of online video cred among its host and jury.

Kayla Cromer, the star of the upcoming Freeform comedy “Everything’s Gonna Be Okay,” disclosed that she is on the autism spectrum during her remarks at the Freeform Summit press event held Wednesday night in Hollywood.
Cromer said the summit was the ideal place for her to speak candidly about dealing with a hidden disability. The subject of presenting diversity on screen was a central topic of the panels and conversations throughout the night.
“I have learned to trust the journey and this event is the perfect place for me to come out publicly for the first time that I’m actually on the autism spectrum,” Cromer said.
Cromer’s character Matilda on “Everything’s Gonna be Okay” also struggles with autism, which the young actress said she thinks helped her land the part despite self-submitting without an agent.
“I never thought I was even funny before playing Matilda,” Cromer said.

Nickelodeon is working on spinoffs for some of Bikini Bottom's favorite citizens.
Ah, 20 years of SpongeBob SquarePants. It seems like just yesterday that we were watching our absorbent, yellow and porous friend answer a help wanted ad at the Krusty Krab. 244 episodes later, SpongeBob and his friends have become a pop culture phenomenon, spawning films, albums, every single piece of merchandise you can imagine, and an oddly persistent Super Bowl petition form. Nickelodeon has some Wumbo plans to celebrate our friend who lives in a pineapple under the sea, and it looks like some of the other constituents of Bikini Bottom will be receiving anniversary presents too.
In a press release from Nickelodeon, it’s been revealed that new spinoffs for some of SpongeBob’s supporting characters are in development for the first time ever.
