Announced earlier this week, a brand new original anime series titled “Ninja Kamui” is coming to Adult Swim’s Toonami programming block next month, and Bloody Disgusting has been provided with a first look at the bloody-as-hell official trailer this morning.
A former ninja clan member swears vengeance upon a mysterious shadow organization that killed his wife and son in the new series “Ninja Kamui,” premiering Saturday, February 10 at midnight Et/Pt on Adult Swim’s famed action/anime programming block Toonami.
The series comes from “God of High School” and “Jujutsu Kaisen” director Sunghoo Park, whose anime feature “Jujutsu Kaisen 0” is Japan’s 14th highest grossing Japanese-produced film in history.
An explosive story of revenge, “Ninja Kamui” follows a former ninja clan member who is haunted by the brutal murders of his family. Meanwhile, an FBI agent and his rookie partner also work to investigate the murders and uncover a vast global conspiracy.

Musician Tim Cappello has a pretty fantastic bio on Wikipedia, the website describing that he’s “notable for his muscular physique, his sexually provocative movements during his performances and for his tendency to perform shirtless, with his skin oiled and hair in a ponytail.” Of course, Cappello is most known for his sexy sax solo in Joel Schumacher’s The Lost Boys back in 1987, which has gone on to become one of the most iconic aspects of the movie.
Here in 2023, Tim Cappello is back at it with a brand new sexy sax solo in the just-released music video for “Monster in Paradise,” the latest single from synthwave band Gunship!
Directed by Elliott Gonzo, the cyberpunk video “Monster in Paradise” can be watched down below, and you can jump to 4-minutes in to see Tim Cappello doing what he does best!

We’ve got a crazy new trailer for you to watch for an awesome looking Heavy Metal style sci-fi space opera called Blood Machines. This movie has a very fun and wild tone and vibe and it looks like it’s going to be a wild ride!
Blood Machines is a 30-minute short film and sequel to the Carpenter Brut indie music video Turbo Killer, which you can watch below. It tells the story of "an A.I. escaping its spaceship then turning into a female ghost who will challenge two blade runners to a galactic chase." Here's the synopsis for Blood Machine:
Two space hunters are tracking down a machine trying to free itself. After taking it down, they witness a mystical phenomenon: the ghost of a young woman pulls itself out of the machine, as if the spaceship had a soul. Trying to understand the nature of this entity,...

*there are a few spoilers here. Directors/writers: Raphaël Hernandez, Savitri Joly-Gonfard. Cast: Elisa Lasowski, Anders Heinrichsen, Noémie Stevens, Christian Erickson. Blood Machines is a film from directors: Raphaël Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard; collectively, they are known by the pseudoname Seth Ickerman. Together, they also created the visually stunning music video "Turbo Killer," with composer Carpenter Brut. Fans should view this video, to know how visually stunning Blood Machines actually is. In the story for Blood Machines, two scavengers target a ship and down it on a remote planet. On the surface, these two men encounter a demonic artificial intelligence, which they pursue to ghostly ships' graveyard. The film has a spiritual element, which is very dark in tone. The many upside down crosses might clue viewers into where this film is going (to hell). Meanwhile, this film fan was reminded of a few other films and music videos, while watching this one: Event Horizon.

Blood Machines is the latest sci-fi thriller from directing duo Raphael Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard. Very much in the vein of cyberpunk, the film's first trailer shows lots of space wreckage and a woman emerging from a metal structure. Set to show on Shudder at a future date, the film's score has been composed by Carpenter Brut; his musical scoring is very much synthwave, or new retro wave. This project was developed from a Kickstarter project. And, Blood Machines stars: Elisa Lasowski ("Versailles"), Anders Heinrichsen (Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets), Noémie Stevens and several others. If you missed it last week, the trailer for Blood Machines is below. This title is only fifty minutes long, so story details are minimal. Revealed so far, an artificial intelligence has escaped her spaceship, only to turn into a technological ghost. Now, she is in search of two blade runners, with...

"Bring us back the moolah, or you and Lago will be in big trouble!" This looks awesome!! A full trailer has debuted for an indie sci-fi project titled Blood Machines, written and directed by Seth Ickerman. This French lo-fi sci-fi is actually a "medium-length" film coming in at 50 minutes, telling the story of an A.I. escaping its spaceship as a female ghost and challenging two blade runners into an galactic chase. Featuring a score by the synthwave artist Carpenter Brut. The film is a sequel to the music video Turbo Killer, the first collaboration between Brut and Ickerman. The full-length Blood Machines stars Elisa Lasowski, Anders Heinrichsen, Noémie Stevens, Christian Erickson, Joëlle Berckmans, and Natasha Cashman. I totally love the look of everything in this, from the Alien-inspired ship with gnarly teeth added, to the Blade Runner-esque grainy visuals that still have a unique style all their own.

The Blood Machines are coming. Following the massive success of the visually stunning Turbo Killer - a music video by French directing duo Seth Ickerman for synthwave act Carpenter Brut - the gang got back together for another kick at things. The idea was to take the aesthetic of Turbo Killer - which had a whole lot of aesthetic - and extend it out for a thirty minute short film with the directors and musician again working in close collaboration. They took the project to Kickstarter and the response was so overwhelming that what had been planned for half an hour was extended out to fifty minutes. Ariana Grande will make a surprise appearance at the Coachella music festival on Friday night, Variety has learned.
The performance will occur on the same day the pop star released her newest single, “No Tears Left to Cry” (read Variety‘s review here). The song was inspired by the May 2017 bombing at a Grande concert in Manchester, England that left 23 people dead, including the bomber.
Headlining Friday’s weekend two lineup is The Weeknd, whose latest album “My Dear Melancholy,” was released earlier this month. The Weeknd and Grande previously collaborated on the hit single “Love Me Harder,” which Grande released in 2014 as part of her album, “My Everything.”
The pair have since made multiple joint appearances to duet on the sultry track, including a performance on “Saturday Night Live” and a viral live acoustic rendition posted to Grande’s YouTube page that has garnered more than 17 million views.

The guys who run the Kickstarter campaign for Blood Machines: Turbo Killer 2 are not fooling around: with more than double the target amount netted and less than 24 hours remaining on the counter, they still introduce new rewards! Seth Ickerman, the name of the French director duo Raphaël Hernandez and Savitri Joly-Gonfard, first teamed up with musician Carpenter Brut last year when they directed the music video Turbo Killer. The title was about the best way I could describe whatever This is. If I had an infinite amount of descriptors to really break it down I would say it's like Grindhouse without the gore and sci-fi that utilizes a classic muscle car chase scene. When last we heard from French directing duo Seth Ickerman - the pair behind the Matrix fan film Kaydara - it was with the hugely impressive proof of concept reel for their proposed scifi feature Ickerman. It's not just the pair's VFX skills that are impressive - there are loooooooads of VFX guys out there with bags of technical ability who will never make the step to directing on their own - but their incredibly well developed retro-futurist aestehtic combined with their ability to infuse their imagery with narrative, even in the absense of dialogue. And they're at it again. French electronic music act Carpenter Brut released a new Seth Ickerman directed video to their track Turbo Killer today and, damn. This is absolutely fantastic...
