Big Brother pulled out a great task last night - it was impossible not to snigger at the housemates screaming their heads off at everything from teddy bears to non-existent bumps in the night. And it was such a good one that it got us thinking about some of our other favourite challenges across Big Brother history.
We've left out Celebrity Big Brother, but below we picked just some of our favourite ever tasks. It turned out to be quite a tough ask to narrow it down, given how many there have been over the years. Read on to see what we picked, and let us know what you loved in the comments...

X Factor returned at the weekend with Simon Cowell and Cheryl Cole trying to salvage a show that has felt like it is stagnating in a Gary Barlow bubble of dreariness over the last two series.
X Factor first review: Cowell brings back sparkle, but not the talent
The new X Factor judges for 2014: What's the snap verdict?
Can you remember who won last year? Can you remember any of the finalists? Exactly. The show needed a rocket up its jacksie and, although this weekend's shows weren't perfect, they did at least bring back the show's old sense of humour.
If you missed it and don't fancy sitting through 37 ad breaks on ITV Player or the judges' 'bantz', here are the 11 auditions that you need to see.
11. Jay James

Big Brother housemates Ashleigh Coyle and Helen Wood are still at odds after yet more drama in the compound.
Earlier this week, Helen and Chris Wright moved into a secret room where they could listen to their fellow housemates, but Helen was unhappy with what she overheard yesterday (August 12).
During a conversation with Christopher Hall, Ashleigh described Helen as "f**king nasty" - mentioning the moment earlier this series when Helen called Jale Karaturp a slug - and added that she has no respect for her.
Meanwhile, Christopher admitted that he is annoyed by Helen's "power" and suggested that Ashleigh was the only person who didn't obey her.
Chris, who admitted that he didn't like listening to the housemates' conversations and suggested that Helen would go off like a firework, later told Helen that he was choosing not to pay attention to the conversations. However, Helen admitted that she...

Big Brother's Helen Wood has been found guilty of causing the divide between the housemates.
The verdict was delivered by Judge Judi James yesterday (August 10), after both Helen and Ashleigh Coyle gave their arguments to the court.
Helen's lawyer Pav Paul told Ashleigh: "You started your journey as a very loveable, bubbly character and was perceived as the young innocent lady of the house. However, this doesn't seem to be the case.
"Your tendency to pounce in arguments only when you're backed up by your friends shows you're malicious, which consequently leaves a divide in the house every time."
Ashleigh's lawyer Christopher Hall countered: "Ashleigh has strove to make any amends with any housemates that she has had difficulty with.
"She has displayed determination to overcome problems and has put effort into building relationships with all housemates, in spite of the many nasty comments which have been directed at her.

How will the Big Brother housemates cope in a post-apocalyptic world?
Well, we're about to find out, as housemates will wake up to discover the garden has been transformed into a post-apocalyptic wasteland as part of a Planet of the Apes task.
After changing into outfits provided by Big Brother, housemates will be split into two teams and told that the house is out of bounds until further notice.
The two teams will battle it out in a variety of different games, with the winning team getting to choose housemates to re-enter the main house. The rest of the housemates will be forced to stay in the garden for the rest of the task.
Teams will first have to scavenge for hidden food and work together to survive in the wilderness. Food includes dried insects, hard boiled eggs, fruit, nuts and large water bottles.

Jale Karaturp has become the fifth housemate to leave the Big Brother 2014 house.
Jale was pitted against Ashleigh Coyle as Emma Willis revealed the final nominees in danger, but was evicted after receiving the majority of the public vote.
"It's surreal!" she told Willis as she sat down for her post-eviction chat.
"It wasn't too bad though," she added. "I saw my mum, I saw my sister, I saw you (Willis)!"
When asked why she thought the viewers may have voted to send her home, Jale said she had been "a bit miserable" during the last week.
"I had a one week break (from being nominated) and I got a bit complacent," she explained.
The 33-year-old from Surrey said that her first few weeks in the house were "tough" and a "horrible time".
"To be honest though, in those kind of situations it's like a challenge for me," she continued.

Big Brother housemate Marlon Wallen apologised to the rest of the group yesterday for saving himself from eviction - but it seems that it wasn't enough for some of them.
Marlon ostracised many of his fellow housemates earlier this week when he chose to remove himself from the chopping block, failing the shopping task for the group in the process.
The shockwaves were still being felt in the house yesterday, as both Steven Goode and Mark Byron said they were "disappointed" and Ashleigh Coyle described the move as "selfish", admitting that if she was a viewer she would be "disgusted".
Meanwhile, Mark suggested that the situation would not be easily fixed, saying: "Other people in the house feel like they've been let down by their best mate."
Elsewhere, Chris Wright discussed the situation with Christopher Hall, saying: "I simply don't buy the, 'He's an evil, conniving bastard thing'... He's just a plonker.

Jale Karaturp was evicted from 'Big Brother' tonight (11.07.14). The psychic - who was nominated for eviction for the past four weeks - became the fifth housemate to leave the Channel 5 series after going head-to-head against 18-year-old Ashleigh Coyle in the public vote. The 33-year-old customer service advisor from Surrey, England received a mixed reaction from the crowd upon leaving the house, but told host Emma Willis: ''It wasn't too bad.'' She added: ''I feel a bit numb, it's surreal.'' Jale wasn't surprised that her fellow contestants wanted her out of the house because she said she had become unfocused and a bit...

The Big Brother housemates turned against Marlon Wallen when he saved himself from eviction yesterday.
The nominees were yesterday given the chance to avoid the public vote - but fail the shopping task for the group - by pressing a button within a minute countdown.
While Christopher Hall suggested that Ashleigh Coyle should press the button because she was booed last week, the general feeling seemed to be that no-one would save themselves - leaving the group shocked when Marlon saved himself after just two seconds.
Jale Karaturp claimed that she wasn't surprised by Marlon's decision, but added that she would rather face the public vote than save herself in that way.
Meanwhile, the rest of the housemates watched the decision from the sofas and Mark Byron dismissed it as "the coward's way" - before confronting Marlon when he returned to the house.

Big Brother has coupled up the housemates for today's task.
The 12 remaining contestants found their partner for the day when they were given half of a heart-shaped coloured pendant; their other half had, er, the other half.
However, Big Brother has mixed up the house dynamics as Kimberly Kisselovich and Steven Goode are not paired with each other but with Marlon Wallen and Danielle McMahon respectively.
Close friends Helen Wood and Ash Harrison do get to work together, as do Jale Karaturp and Winston Showan, Ashleigh Coyle and Chris Wright, and Christopher Hall and Mark Byron.
The first part of today's task will see one member of each pair climbing into a giant tray to cover themselves in much paint as possible, before running over to their partner. They must transfer the paint onto their team mate without using their hands, and then their partner must cover their canvas in the paint.

Big Brother's Helen Wood has branded Ashleigh Coyle "the biggest two-faced bitch" in an explosive row.
The housemates ended up bickering after Jale Karaturp, Helen and Kimberly Kisselovich bought a Gossip App from the App Zone.
The purchase enabled them to see a video of Ashleigh planning Ash Harrison's eviction and her confession to Big Brother about her 'evil plan'.
Becoming angry at learning this, Helen stated: "Who does she think she is, Cruella de f**king Vil?"
Later in the garden, Helen confronted Ashleigh about what she had seen on the tape.
"We've just watched half an hour or a bit more of gossip in the house," said Helen. "Very surprising gossip, it was just two people who have slagged everyone off throughout the house.
"I've agreed not to say anything, I wanted to say something but no. Basically Ashleigh is the biggest two-faced bitch sat here.

Big Brother housemate Marlon Wallen has won immunity from this week's eviction.
As part of the Battery Life shopping task, nominees Marlon, Christopher Hall, Chris Wright, Ashleigh Coyle and Jale Karaturp were given the opportunity to save themselves from the chopping block - but lose the shopping task for the group in the process.
They were all allowed to stand behind a podium with a button while a clock counted down from one minute - if they pressed their button, they would drain the battery and lose the task but also save themselves.
Marlon waited just two seconds before pressing his button and winning immunity for himself.
The news means that Christopher, Chris, Ashleigh and Jale are now facing the public vote and could be evicted on Friday (July 11).
Big Brother continues tonight (July 8) at 10pm on Channel 5.

Big Brother will give one of the nominees the chance to save themselves from eviction as part of this week's shopping task.
Yesterday, the group discovered that they were facing a Battery Life challenge and were tasked with preventing a giant battery from running out of power. They could generate power by sacrificing their belongings, and use power on various Big Brother apps.
Today, Ashleigh Coyle, Marlon Wallen and Winston Showan will be given the chance to generate more power - in return for Ashleigh's dressing gown, Marlon's cap and Winston's hairspray.
Elsewhere, Christopher Hall and Winston will be offered the chance to use Big Brother's social media app, with which they are allowed to ask two questions on Twitter. Big Brother will provide the answers, but it will cost a certain amount of battery.

We love this week's Assassins shopping task on Big Brother, so we were very excited indeed when photos from tonight's (July 2) episode popped into our inbox - and they certainly didn't disappoint. On the other hand, they left us with some burning questions...
1. Why is Ashleigh crying?
And is this the most gracefully someone has teared up on Big Brother? A single droplet, emerging shyly from behind a mask. Beautiful.
2. Why is Ashleigh making this face?
Baffling.
3. Does Jale have the best 'pondering' face ever?
She was a secret assassin so had to pull out the goods, and my God, she did.
4. Would you want Winston as a detective?
Really?
5. Does Matthew have the best 'detective' face out there?
The tipped glasses, the look down the nose - it certainly beats Winston's 'I've just eaten a lemon' squirm.
6. Will Big Brother ever stop trying to make Mystic Mark happen?...

Five housemates are up for eviction in the Big Brother house this week after the latest Power Trip twist.
Ash, Christopher, Mark, Matthew and Winston all face eviction on Friday (July 4), after the girls chose which housemates to save from this week's public vote.
The girls opted to save Steven, Marlon and Chris from eviction this week, in their final act of power. They described Steven as a "leader" with a "good sense of humour", while they hoped Chris would feel more "appreciated" after their decision.
Marlon became visibly emotional as he listened to the girls discussing his fate in the Diary Room.
The latest 'Girl Power' twist means that a male housemate will be evicted for the first time this series, while Jale will not face the public vote for the first time.

Big Brother housemate Matthew Davies has admitted that he doesn't like most of the people still on the show.
Matthew - whose friend Toya Washington was evicted on Friday (June 27) - explained in the Diary Room yesterday that his mood has become "lower and lower".
"I'm out of my comfort zone," he said. "I don't really like most of the people in this house... I don't really like the cliques and the dynamic."
Matthew went on to say that Marlon Wallen "should be embarrassed" about his behaviour but reserved most of his ire for Helen Wood, with whom he fell out last week over a game of Truth or Dare.

The Big Brother housemates have reacted with mixed feelings to Toya A. Washington's eviction from the house.
The wannabe TV presenter left the house on Friday night, after being nominated alongside Danielle, Ash, Chris, Marlon Jale, Christopher and Winston.
Toya's eviction was felt the hardest by Ashleigh and Danielle, who described her as an "amazing, wonderful woman, one of the most fantastic people I've ever met in my life".
Ashleigh added: "I'm so privileged to have met her."
However, Marlon was delighted at Toya's demise, calling her a "two faced b**ch" in a conversation with his housemates.
Many of the group were also left reeling by hearing the crowd's reaction to their names being read out by host Emma Willis.
Hearing boos from the crowd, Helen told Mark: "They all f**king hate me."

Toya Washington has become the third housemate to leave the Big Brother 2014 house.
The 29-year-old Londoner was among eight nominated housemates (including killer nominee Jale Karaturp), but was evicted after receiving the majority of the public vote.
Emerging to a loud chorus of boos from the crowd, Washington laughed off the negative reaction and pouted for the cameras.
Speaking to Emma Willis following her exit, the blogger said she wasn't disappointed to leave.
"I'm so relieved, honestly. It got to a point where I wasn't having fun anymore.
"Nobody's having fun anymore and unfortunately, Helen is the common denominator," she explained.
"If she leaves, everyone'll start having fun."
When asked about the booing, Washington joked: "I know they're all secretly following me on Twitter so it doesn't matter.
"I had that reaction as I'm not afraid to stand up to myself," she added.

Big Brother housemate Toya A Washington will be leaving the compound tonight if Digital Spy readers have their way.
Over 16,500 votes were received for this week's DS eviction ballot, with Toya picking up 39.66% of the vote.
However, her chances have seemed to improve as she was previously tracking at around 50% of the vote.
Meanwhile, Ash Harrison and Marlon Wallen have picked up more votes as the week has continued, with 22.81% and 21.41% respectively.
On the other end of the spectrum, it doesn't look like killer nominee Jale Karaturp is going anywhere just yet, as she polled just 1.66% of the vote.
Christopher Hall and Chris Wright also look reasonably safe - picking up 2.02% and 2.07% respectively - and it would be a surprise if Winston Showan (4.41%) or Danielle McMahon (5.98%) were sent packing.
The Big Brother eviction kicks off tonight (June 27) at 9pm on Channel 5.

Ash Harrison has always seemed one of the slickest men in the Big Brother house... but these photographs from today suggest that something has gone seriously wrong with his barnet.
Since Ash is up for eviction tonight, we're assuming these pictures are very much 'work in progress' - at least, we hope so.
While we're not sure that this is exactly the look Ash is going for, one thing that does seem clear is that he enlisted his fellow housemate Mark Byron to style his locks.
This would seem to be a brave choice, given that yesterday Mark quite literally raised eyebrows with his makeover of Jale Karaturp.
We think Ash is barely recognisable in these snaps - it's certainly a new look for him - but the real question is whether or not his hair is so big because it's full of secrets.

The Big Brother housemates have now resorted to arguing over eyebrows.
There was tension in the Borehamwood bungalow yesterday after Mark Byron decided to give Jale Karaturp a makeover, including his trademark Scouse brow.
However, the pruning did not go down well with some of the group, as Matthew Davies described the look as an "abomination".
Mark didn't appreciate the criticism of his "artwork", replying: "If anyone in this house knows glamour and class, it's me - I'm a Scouser."
But Matthew wasn't the only naysayer, as Toya A Washington told Ashleigh Coyle and Danielle McMahon that Jale looked like a "transvestite".

Big Brother housemate Chris Wright has opened up about his sexuality.
In scenes that will appear on tonight's episode, Chris spoke to Ash Harrison, Marlon Wallen, Christopher Hall and Jale Karaturp about his views.
"I don't like the term straight," he explained. "We're all kind of melding now."
Chris, who pointed out that young people no longer care about sexual labels, explained that he has never kissed or slept with a man but does not think he can think of himself as just straight.
Chris later admitted to Jale Karaturp that he was a bit unsure about opening up on camera as he has never spoken about his ideas of sexuality to most of his family or friends.
However, he added: "You can't put the toothpaste back in the tube."

Helen Wood and Ashleigh Coyle were the big topics of conversation in the Big Brother house yesterday.
Helen - who has received a formal warning for her behaviour towards Matthew Davies on Tuesday (June 24) - was discussed by several of the housemates in the aftermath of the pair's explosive argument.
Toya A Washington suggested that Helen had "sealed her fate" with the argument, while Matthew observed: "She's got a gob like the Dartford Tunnel."

Big Brother housemate Ash Harrison hit out at Jale Karaturp last night after he realised she had nominated him.
As part of this week's shopping task, Ash, Marlon Wallen and Winston Showan agreed that the nominations they have received could be broadcast to the house.
However, Ash was annoyed to learn that Jale had voted for him, saying: "Jale was just chatting s**t... F**k off, maggot."
Jale was surprised to hear his comments and suggested that it was "a bit of a strong reaction", while Mark Byron defended her by saying: "Ash, you don't need to say things like that to people."
The spat did not seem to bother Jale too much, as she later told Toya A Washington and Matthew Davies: "It just looks a bit silly... That comment has just washed over me."

They have to choose whether or not to do the dare without knowing what their fellow housemates have said. They can win ten points if they all agree to it and five if they all refuse, but if there is disagreement then they don't win any points.

Pauline Bennett has become the second person to leave the Big Brother 2014 house.
The 49-year-old was among five nominated housemates, but was evicted ahead of Steven Goode, Marlon Wallen, Ash Harrison and Christopher Hall after receiving over 79% of the public vote.
When Emma Willis asked her what went wrong in the house, Pauline admitted: "I was [just] myself and told the truth."
As Willis brought up her relationship with Jale, the dance teacher said that she "didn't do poor me, poor me, too well".
"You don't do it at all," the host replied.
After Willis suggested the booing public had found it hard to understand her problem with Jale, Pauline attempted to justify her behaviour by saying that the "one thing [she] can't stand is selfish people".

The new Big Brother Power Housemate is Toya A Washington.
The 29-year-old won the position after the housemates were each given the chance to nominate one person for the job - although Steven Goode, Ash Harrison, Marlon Wallen, Christopher Hall, Jale Karaturp and Pauline Bennett were exempt as they face eviction tonight.
Toya ended up winning nominations from Mark Byron, Pauline, Ashleigh Coyle and Helen Wood, which was enough to nab her the role.
Mark explained that he believed Toya will be "dead fair" and Pauline described her as "level-headed", while Ashleigh described her as "really fun and a good friend of mine" and Helen claimed she wouldn't "fanny around with decisions".
Toya's closest competition was Kimberly Kisselovich, who picked up nominations from Matthew Davies, Steven and Jale.
Matthew got two votes - from Winston and Christopher - while Ashleigh, Mark, Chris, Winston, Helen and Danielle each picked up one nomination.

Luisa Zissman hits out at 'jaw-dropping' Jale treatment
Speaking to Big Brother, Jale said: "Well, Toya's speaking to me now and Helen's speaking to me and Pauline's speaking to me now. I can't work them out. I don't know if they're just easily influenced or whether or not my behaviour's suddenly changed… I don't really get it to be honest with you, and I don't think they get it.

Big Brother presenter Luisa Zissman has hit out at the apparent 'bullying' of Jale Karaturp by her fellow housemates.
Zissman, who appears on Bit on the Side, wrote in her column for the Daily Star that she has been angered by the behaviour of the group - and Helen Wood in particular.
Big Brother: Tamara tells all about Winston, Pauline and Jale
"We have seen her isolated from the group, referred to as 'Slug' and repeatedly ridiculed," said former Apprentice runner-up Zissman. "The icing on the cake? Jale has done nothing to provoke them. It has been very uncomfortable viewing.
"The scenes of torment are just like being in a school playground, and it begs the question as to why adults feel it appropriate to behave like this towards their peers."
Zissman criticised the "feeble slap on the wrist" that Helen received, adding: "The most nauseating thing of all,...

It's never nice to be the first person evicted from Big Brother, and that unlucky title was passed on to Tamara Stewart-Wood last Friday. The outspoken 24-year-old might not have had the chance to show us all she had to offer in the house, but she certainly wasn't holding back when we got her on the phone. Read on as she tells all about her fellow housemates...
1. She really does like Winston. Really.
"I do miss Winston. It's so weird - it's like lovers torn or something. It's just the weirdest experience, because normally you can just call someone or text them, and I can't. It did surprise me that he got emotional. I got all teary to my mum after it all and I just felt a little bit heartbroken and I thought, 'Why do I feel like this?' So it's nice to know that maybe he feels the same.

Big Brother has set housemates a farm-themed shopping budget task this week.
Christopher Hall, Jale Karaturp and Marlon Wallen have been made farmers for the task, in which they must make sure the farm runs properly.
The rest of the housemates have turned into animals, with Pauline Bennett, Steven Goode, Kimberly Kisselovich and Helen Wood becoming pigs.
Ashleigh Coyle, Toya Washington, Winston Showan and Chris Wright are cows, while Matthew Davies, Mark Byron, Danielle McMahon and Ash Harrison are now chickens.
Each animal will have to work to make food in order to sell to Big Brother. The more food that is sold, the better their chances of winning a luxury shopping budget.
The farmers must decide how hard to work the animals, while any animals who don't work hard enough may find themselves in the 'slaughterhouse'.
After each day, the farmers will receive a warm dinner, while the animals...

Big Brother housemate Chris Wright's secret power was put in jeopardy last night when members of the public shouted over the wall.
Chris was chosen by viewers to be the Power Housemate last week and has since been choosing which of his fellow contestants will face eviction on Friday (June 20).
However, in scenes that will be shown in tonight's episode, he was forced into a corner when some of the housemates heard shouts from members of the public.
Chris was in the garden with Christopher Hall and Jale Karaturp when they heard yells that Chris was the Power Housemate, though he hurriedly told them it wasn't true.
Chris also warned Jale to use her "best judgement" about what she had heard, though she later chose to share the information with Ashleigh Coyle and Danielle McMahon.
Meanwhile, Chris had a chat with Big Brother and discussed who was most likely...

Big Brother star Helen Wood has been warned about her behaviour towards fellow housemate Jale Karaturp.
While Helen was not issued with a formal warning for her treatment of Jale, Big Brother told her in a Diary Room chat that she could pick one up in future if things do not change.
In a conversation which will be shown on tonight's episode, Big Brother picked up on Helen calling Jale "an attention-seeking b**tard, not real, she hasn't got a real f**king bone in her body".
Big Brother also criticised Helen for saying to a group of housemates: "F**king slug over there is listening... Are you listening? I didn't mean you, Ashleigh."
"Because she was listening," Helen replied. "The name calling's wrong, but I feel like every time I speak, no matter who she's sat with, she's looking over seeing what everyone's saying and I just find it really,...
