He was an artist who built elaborate set-ups with balls rolling and dropping through rails, coils and pendulums which he called "audiokinetic sculptures" running only on gravity. He was inspired by the mobiles of Alexander Calder, the drawings of Rube Goldberg, and roller coasters. His creations can be found in airports, science museums, children's hospitals, and shopping malls around the world.
