Shadowplay, the gritty dramatic thriller series from The Bridge co-creator Måns Mårlind, is to get its world premiere at the 60th Monte-Carlo Television Festival in June.
The Shadowplay cast — including Taylor Kitsch (Waco) and Michael C. Hall (Dexter) — and creators will attend the screening of the first two episodes on June 19, while the premiere will be followed by a red-carpet opening ceremony.
The show is produced by Studiocanal’s Tandem Productions and Bron Studios in co-production with Zdf. Mårlind conceived Shadowplay as a 16-episode series, told in two chapters. The initial eight-episodes shot last year in Prague, while the second half will go into production in 2020.

Taylor Kitsch and Michael C. Hall have signed on to play lead roles and round out the cast in the new drama series Shadowplay. The series was created by Mans Marlind (Midnight Sun) who is also writing and directing. Shadowplay will be a 16 episode series told in two parts. The first will begin shooting this month in Prague, with the other set to start shooting next year.

Exclusive: Bron Studios has hired Endeavor Content senior associate Pippa Lambert as Evp Domestic Television and promoted David Davoli to Evp International Television as the indie producer-financier bolsters its nascent TV division, which sees its first production going before cameras next month.
Lambert and Davoli will help establish the company’s TV business, working with creators and filmmakers worldwide to develop, package and produce premium content for global markets. They will also mine other Bron divisions to source opportunities and identify third-party domestic and international production companies for partnership opportunities.
Lambert will be based in Los Angeles, while Davoli will remain in New York office. Both report to Bron Studios chairman Aaron L. Gilbert.
“I am thrilled to have these two incredibly talented executives leading Bron’s growing television business,” Gilbert said. “Both have been doing great work for many years and bring diverse skill sets and experiences to their new posts.
Lambert and Davoli will help establish the company’s TV business, working with creators and filmmakers worldwide to develop, package and produce premium content for global markets.
