Oh, this is such delicious casting! But what else would we expect from the chilling Evil? Richard Kind and John Carroll Lynch will guest star, and Danny Burstein will return, throughout the show’s four bonus episodes—and Leland Townsend (Michael Emerson) is on trial, TV Insider has learned exclusively. These were the episodes Paramount+ ordered to wrap up the series once it was determined the upcoming fourth season would be its last. Kind will guest star as Judge Joseph Jeter. He is a seemingly by-the-books, straight-arrow judge who is overseeing Leland Townsend’s trial and values efficiency at all costs. Lynch plays Henry Stick, the attorney assigned to Leland Townsend. He appears to be a bumbling, barely competent lawyer, but fortunately for Leland, Henry Stick proves to have greater power than is initially evident. Burstein is reprising his role as Da Lewis Cormier. He previously appeared in four episodes...

Comedies have always been Richard Kind‘s bread and butter. With memorable roles in shows like Spin City, Mad About You, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Other Two, and now the Night Court reboot, the 67-year-old star has long been one of the industry’s best character actors. But he tells TV Insider that he craves his chance at a dramatic turn like his Spin City co-star/longtime friend Alan Ruck, who showed his dramatic chops in the incomparable HBO series Succession. After being “raised” on the original Night Court and long admiring John Larroquette‘s performance as Dan Fielding, Kind made his Night Court debut in Season 2 Episode 7 on Tuesday, February 13 on NBC. He plays Sy Feldman, a disgraced Broadway producer who’s in legal trouble over faulty investments in his failed shows. The character is a lot like Max Bialystok of The Producers, whom Kind played on Broadway in 2004 opposite Ruck as Leo Bloom.

Richard Kind‘s Cousin Andy won’t be among the guest stars of Curb Your Enthusiasm‘s final season, the star confirms to TV Insider. The beloved character actor has guest starred as Larry David‘s painfully, hilariously boring cousin in eight episodes across six seasons of the hit HBO comedy, but Kind says that Season 11 Episode 3, which aired on November 7, 2021, was his last. Kind clarifies there’s no other reason for his absence, other than the character simply isn’t in Season 12. “I’m not in the final season, but I’m fine with it,” Kind tells TV Insider. “The only reason I’m fine with it is because everybody always asks, ‘Is Larry really like that?’ And so I got to answer that. Now, they don’t say that. They go, ‘Are you in the last season?’ And I go, ‘No, I’m not.’ And then they go,...

If there’s a funny show on TV, it’s a pretty good bet that Richard Kind has appeared on it.
The veteran actor has logged memorable guest appearances on dozens of TV comedies over the years, along with regular stints on Mad About You and Spin City, among others. So it’s no surprise that Kind pops up on this Tuesday’s Night Court (NBC, 8/7c) as unscrupulous Broadway producer Sy, who lands in court after getting caught selling fake theater memorabilia. So did Kind base this character on any Broadway producers he may have worked with?

Country star Kane Brown showed off his range by working with Edm producer Marshmello on the song “One Thing Right.” Surprisingly, Marshmello revealed he had some experience with country music. “One Thing Right” was one of the biggest songs of the year even though it barely reached the top 40.
Marshmello said Kane Brown’s ‘One Thing Right’ isn’t ‘nail-on-the-head country music’
Marshmello has collaborated with artists across genres. These include pop star Demi Lovato (“Ok Not to Be Ok”), rapper Lil Peep (“Spotlight”), alternative star Halsey (“Be Kind”), indie pop band Bastille (“Happier”), heavy metal band A Day to Remember (“Rescue Me”), and R&b singer Chris Brown (“Light Up”). During a 2021 interview with Forbes, Marshmello said his tastes were always eclectic.

Naming a TV series is no small feat. When shows are in development, they often lack a name. As the project gets closer to production and an eventual order, the topic of names comes up. Some shows are named quickly, while others take time to figure out what fits best. NBC had difficulty finding the perfect title for the series that would eventually become Mad About You. While network executives couldn’t find the perfect name, they knew what they wanted to avoid. Despite his manager’s best efforts, Paul Reiser’s name would never become the show’s title.
‘The Paul Reiser Show’ was floated as a potential title for ‘Mad About You’ but NBC shot it down

(Welcome to Scariest Scene Ever, a column dedicated to the most pulse-pounding moments in horror with your tour guides, horror experts Chris Evangelista and Matt Donato. In this edition, Matt has a close encounter of "The Fourth Kind.")
With the release of Brian Duffield's "No One Will Save You" on Hulu this week, I wanted to revisit a freaky alien abduction flick that doesn't get enough attention. Olatunde Osunsanmi's faux documentary thriller "The Fourth Kind" approaches extraterrestrial horror from both an inquisitive and frightening angle by treating the story as real. Osunsanmi uses Alaskian isolation as a backdrop for otherworldly horror, preying on our fears of little green men who the government just confessed do exist. I can't even say aliens tie into fears of the unknown anymore. What a world!

The cast includes Jack Samson (Zodiac), Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers), Camille Kostek (Free Guy), Richard Kind (A Serious Man) and Arianne Zucker (Days of Our Lives).
Monsters of California centers on Dallas (Samson) and his outcast group of high school friends attempting to shed light on a paranormal conspiracy in Southern California that the political powers that be have kept under wraps.

Of all the rude, crass, self-absorbed, ridiculous, inappropriate criminals on "Futurama" -- that is to say, most of the characters on the show -- none is more worthy of censure than Captain Zapp Brannigan (Billy West). Zapp works for Doop, an organization similar to the Federation from "Star Trek," but far more trigger-happy and willing to engage in resource theft. Zapp commands a massive warship called the Nimbus, although the craft is not half as big as Zapp's ego. Zapp is narcissistic, over-sexualized, vain, crude, uncaring, obsessed with velour, and endlessly abusive to his first officer Kif (Maurice Lamarche) whom he uses as a towel in the show's latest episode. West once said in an interview with Vanity Fair that Zapp Brannigan was what might have happened if William Shatner, the actor, was in charge of the starship Enterprise instead of Captain Kirk.

A former “Below Deck” production staffer has accused the Bravo reality series of covering up sexual misconduct from cast member Gary King.
Samantha Suarez, who first joined the show’s makeup department on “Below Deck” Season 10, told Rolling Stone that King tried to force himself on Suarez in the preparation time for the fourth installment of “Below Deck Sailing Yacht.” Following the incident, Suarez said an Hr representative for the show discouraged her from sharing her experience with other production staffers and retaliated against her when she wasn’t asked to return to the show.

Netflix’s The Out-Laws trailer features a bank robbery, car chase, an awkward meeting of potential in-laws, and a reference to James Bond #5. Plus, the trailer includes a very handsome Pierce Brosnan, a description that – according to Richard Kind – isn’t a compliment.
The action comedy comes from director Tyler Spindel and stars Brosnan (Mamma Mia!), Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Adam Devine (Pitch Perfect), Nina Dobrev (The Vampire Diaries), Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), and Poorna Jagannathan (The Night Of). Ellen Barkin (Animal Kingdom), Julie Hagerty (Marriage Story), Lil Rey Howery (Rel), Blake Anderson (Woke), Lauren Lapkus (Orange is the New Black), and Laci Mosley (A Black Lady Sketch Show) also star.
Netflix’s official synopsis reveals Owen Browning (Devine) is a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker (Dobrev). When his bank is held up by the infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week,...

For East New York fans, CBS' finalization of its 2023-2024 schedule came with devastating news.
Since the network announced that the freshman cop drama was canceled, fan groups have organized petition signing and social media campaigns to save their beloved show.
It's a long shot, but let's hope it works. There are a ton of reasons East New York has a dedicated fan base; this show deserves an 11th-hour reprieve.
While there are many cop shows on the air, none was quite like this one.
Rather than focusing on the parts of the Big Apple that tourists usually frequent, this series took place in a lower-income, majority Black and Brown neighborhood.

[Editor’s note: This story contains major spoilers for “Beau Is Afraid.”]
The titular protagonist of “Beau Is Afraid” endures a lot of trauma. As embodied by Joaquin Phoenix in a permanent state of shock and dread, the character inhabits an apartment surrounded by hooligans and street urchins all too eager to overtake his apartment, which has been infested by deadly spiders. Moments later, he learns that his mother (Patti LuPone) has died after her head was crushed by a fallen chandelier — and shortly after that, he’s hit by a truck and assaulted on the street by a naked man wielding a knife.
And that’s just the first act.

It was in reference to the obligation of doing press, something he clearly does not enjoy. Matt Damon has brought the strange story of George Clooney defecating in a cat’s litter tray back into the limelight.

He says: “It has been said that my friend George Clooney is the last of the true movie stars.
“So I got to thinking about exactly what that meant. Of course, a number of past Kennedy Centre honourees have certainly been movie stars in that classic sense. Actors with class and sophistication – Cary Grant, Henry Fonda, Paul Newman, Gregory Peck.
“And then I think of George. A man who defected in Richard Kind’s kitty litter box as a joke.

Wait... what? East New York is already on its winter hiatus?
It feels like CBS' newest cop drama just began. Sunday nights will seem empty until it returns in January.
Our East New York Season 1 midseason report card discusses how well this show is doing and how it can improve as the season continues.
While the TV landscape is overrun with crime dramas, East New York stands out because of the stellar cast and unusual setting. This series focuses on the often-ignored community of East New York and the new head of the police department, who is determined to change things from the inside.
Many police shows take place in New York City. However, for TV viewers, New York is often synonymous with Manhattan (even if Blue Bloods' Frank Reagan lives in Queens.) East New York depicts the less glamorous part of the Big Apple: a poor, primarily Black and Hispanic area of Brooklyn.

This article contains No spoilers for The Watcher.
The Watcher has just about everything Netflix is looking for in a buzzy drama series.
For starters, it hails from TV-producing mastermind Ryan Murphy, who was just responsible for one of the streamer’s biggest hits in the Jeffrey Dahmer biographic drama Dahmer. The story of The Watcher also comes from terrifying real life events as recounted in The Cut’s now-classic magazine feature. And not for nothing, but The Watcher also just happens to share six letters in common with another popular Netflix series. It’s certainly fun to imagine someone clicking into The Watcher hoping to see Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia and instead getting an emotionally searing saga of modern true crime instead.
More important than any of those blockbuster factors, however, is the cast of The Watcher. As befitting a Murphy-Netflix co-production, the roster of actors here is absolutely stacked.

[Editor’s note: The following article contains spoilers for “The Watcher,” including the ending.]
If one looks at the Ryan Murphy/Netflix collaborations in total, you’d be safe saying the pair haven’t crafted a match made in heaven (massive viewing numbers for “Dahmer” notwithstanding). Which is a shame, as “The Watcher” is probably the best series Murphy’s worked on for the streaming giant. What makes “The Watcher” soar is Murphy going back to what worked for him with the first “American Horror Story”: a haunted house film with a cadre of characters you simultaneously liked yet were irritated by. But at the end of the day it’s still a Murphy show, meaning that for every good thing, like Jennifer Coolidge’s real-estate agent from hell, there’s an element that makes you roll your eyes and sigh in exasperation, like pigtail wearing becoming a major plot point.
Let’s back up: Dean and Nora...

While the Jeffrey Dahmer limited series received backlash from the family members of the serial killer’s victims for their lack of involvement in the project, the cast of The Watcher said they’re not concerned with their limited series receiving the same criticism.

But this is a different kind of role for Kind, considering he’s best known for comedies like Mad About You and Spin City. Because of that, he’s grateful that the producers believed he was the right guy to take on the role of a police captain in the new series. “East New York” fits neatly into CBS’ battery of dramas about law enforcement, from “The Equalizer” to the “CSI” revival. But credit it with this much: In its roundabout way, it has more on its mind than one might expect at first blush. Set in a Brooklyn neighborhood where the beginnings of gentrification rub up uncomfortably against families who’ve lived there for generations, “East New York” is relatively careful in its presentation of cops and policing as flawed tools in need of rethinking, and boasts a charismatic lead who can make you believe, for an hour of primetime, that such change might be possible.

Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale are going up against an unknown assailant in the first trailer for Netflix’s upcoming series “The Watcher.” (Watch it above.)
The series is based on a story written for New York Magazine and follows a family who were ultimately threatened and pressured into leaving their newly-bought mansion after a mysterious stalker began sending them letters in the mail.
“Your house is my obsession and now you are too,” an ominous voice says in the trailer, as chilling music plays in the background. “Who am I? It might not frighten you yet, but it will.”
As the trailer continues, the music gets more ominous and the characters become more frantic.
Cannavale’s character says he moved his family so that they could feel “safe,” but now they’re fearing for their lives. While they’re advised to get out as soon as they can, Watts...

Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale Regret Their Dream Home Purchase in Unsettling ‘The Watcher’ Trailer

Ryan Murphy has officially listed his next house — another one that comes with chilling baggage.
The American Horror Story creator, whose FX anthology was centered around a haunted home, has dropped a trailer for his next Netflix series, The Watcher, which is about a home, and a family, that is being stalked to sinister degree. The series releases Oct. 13.
The limited series, which notes that it’s based on the shocking true story of the infamous “Watcher” house in New Jersey, stars Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannavale, a married couple who move their family into a new suburban home. The trailer, however, shows that everyone around them, particularly the anonymous “watcher” of their home, knows they have bought more than they bargained for.
“Do you know the history of the house? I’ve been put in charge of watching you. This message will not be the last.

Jennifer Coolidge is a woman of many talents, including, apparently, selling homes. Netflix introduced us to her latest character, real estate agent Karen Calhoun, in a clip Friday promoting Ryan Murphy’s new series, “The Watcher.”
In the video, Coolidge shows off 657 Boulevard, the infamous New York house from the new limited series. “The Watcher” is based on a story written for New York Magazine and follows a family who were ultimately threatened to leave their newly bought mansion after a mysterious stalker began sending them letters in the mail.
Coolidge gives a tour of the property in painstaking detail, as any luxury real estate agent would, highlighting the best features in the house — including the fifth bathroom, which was thrown in “just for fun.”
“There is nothing like this in the world,” she says as she twirls through one of the rooms. And of course, she had to show off the fully intact dumbwaiter,...
