Eugene Rhee is an award winning writer and producer based in Los Angeles. He produced the Hulu Original Film "Flesh & Blood" with Blumhouse Productions. The well-reviewed film premiered in November 2018 as the second feature film in Hulu's "Into the Dark" horror film anthology. Eugene co-executive produced & co-wrote "Despite Everything," the most watched Netflix Original Spanish Film of 2019. He was also a story consultant on "Fast Five," the fifth film in Universal Pictures "Fast & Furious" film franchise.
Eugene previously won the Grand Prize in Europe's largest screenplay competition (Shore Scripts), the top prize in the Producers Guild of America's Power of Diversity Master Workshop, was a Universal Writers Program and Page International Awards Finalist and an IFP Emerging Narratives Fellow. He has also directed acclaimed shorts and videos that have premiered online and at numerous film festivals including Sundance. Eugene received his masters degree from the U.S.C. School of Cinematic Arts where he was awarded the Cinema Circulus Scholarship, graduating top of his class, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the husband of bestselling children's book author Helena Ku Rhee.
