- K. Kortez was born in Colombia to two very young parents who met in their Church's drama club. He was introduced to TV at a young age and was instantly hooked. At 5 years old he watched The Mask (1994), and that's when he knew what he wanted to do for the rest of his life; to act and make people laugh. As he grew up, his interests expanded, but all within the realm of entertainment. He now considers himself a writer first, and an actor second. In 2011, Kortez attended Red Deer College for Theatre Studies until an urgent need for a surgery forced him to drop out. At this time, he started making Youtube videos as a full time job; throughout different Youtube channels (from 2008 to 2019), he created over 2000 videos, which resulted in over 100 million views and over 200k subscribers. Some of those videos include short films and comedic skits. Thanks to his Youtube career, Kortez was able to put on every imaginable creative hat, and learned inside out what it takes to create something from start to finish that people want to see/experience. Because of his intense focus with online entertainment, Kortez hasn't taken on too many traditional projects, but he has been a part of a few more traditional short films over the years and landed his first role in a feature film recently (Hot Box (2019)).
As of very recently, K. Kortez decided to put his main focus on acting and writing screenplays, and to treat Youtube more like a hobby than a career. He now resides in Vancouver (the Hollywood of Canada), working as an actor and venturing into the world of stand-up comedy.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
