Ali was born in Seattle, Washington and raised in the northern suburbs of Everett where she spent her youth chasing creative endeavors in music/theater and was known for being a bit of a day dreamer, duly noted on her report cards.

In the fall of 2010 Ali was blindsided by the diagnosis of stage IV colon cancer and began what turned into several years of intensive treatments.
Since then she jumped out of a plane, swam in the Mediterranean, stood on the Cliffs of Moher, floated along the canals of Amsterdam, become a sports photographer with highlights of photographing greats like; Beckham, Ronaldo, Donovan, Keane and Kaka, wrote and published two humorous and informative cancer survival guides; The C Card and Me - How I beat Stage IV cancer, became the subject of an original TV program (My Human Case) and professionally recorded a full length CD of her original (Boomerang CD, By New Year's Day and Dear Santa, Piece of Cake CD), Americana songs.
These "bucket list" adventures were shared with friends and followers on social medial, forming an interactive and engaged following, sparking the idea of an interactive web series; 12 Adventures, where viewers steer the course of the adventures during the planning phase and as they're happening.
