Amazon’s Prime Video has set the premiere day for Betty la Fea, the Story Continues, the sequel to the Colombian telenovela that inspired ABC’s, Ugly Betty.
The new series will premiere on July 19 in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
Betty la Fea, the Story Continues, will see Ana María Orozco reprise her role of Betty alongside Jorge Enrique Abello. Returning cast members include Julián Arango, Natalia Ramírez, Lorna Cepeda, Luces Velásquez, Marcela Posada, Mario Duarte, Julio Cesar Herrera, Ricardo Vélez, Alberto León Jaramillo and Estefanía Gómez.
Rodrigo Candamil, Juanita Molin, Zharick León and Sebastián Osorio join the cast.

Mauricio Ochmann, one of the biggest stars in the Latino world, has signed a multiyear first look deal with Pantaya, the leading premium Spanish-language streaming service.
Under the terms of the deal, actor-producer Ochmann will develop and executive produce a slate of original films and TV series for the company. Films developed as part of the deal will be produced in tandem with Pantelion Films, Pantaya’s partner company.
Announced Monday by Paul Presburger, CEO of Pantaya and Pantelion, the deal allies the two companies with the star of Telemundo Super Series “El Chema,” a spin off from “El Señor de los Cielos” – in which Ochmann also had a main character role. Aired over 2016-17, “El Chema” ranked as the No. 1 broadcast program at 10 pm in the U.S. regardless of language, among 18-34s.
The Pantaya-Pantelion deal builds on an already highly successful relationship between Ochmann and the two companies.

A new series of “The More You Know” PSAs will tackle systemic racism and speak up for social justice, equality and equity, NBCUniversal says. Participating will be a roster of NBC talent, including Dulé Hill, James Roday Rodriguez, Kelly Clarkson and Melissa Fumero, among others.
The campaign was developed in collaboration with social and racial justice organizations Fair Count, The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, the NAACP, the National Action Network and the National Urban League, and focuses on standing up against injustice, teaching children about equity, and the importance of voting and completing the census, especially for how it impacts the Black community and communities of color.

“We’re here fighting for Sbs workers who have been denied a right for a fair contract,” SAG-aftra president Gabrielle Carteris said at the event. “We have been negotiating with them for 3 1/2 years, and every time, they have come to the bargaining table in bad faith. Torres was also recently named Best New Actress at the Produ Awards at Mipcom Mexico. She is close to wrapping her second TV series, Enemigo Intimo, for Spanish language powerhouse Telemundo Global Studios.
The actress is relocating to Los Angeles in January 2020 to pursue English language film and television opportunities.
