The family of late YouTube star Corey La Barrie has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for memorial expenses, as well as the inevitable financial hardships that will follow his loss.
The campaign has garnered 1,400 donations since its launch yesterday, reaching nearly $70,000 of a $150,000 goal in less than 24 hours, including donations from some of La Barrie’s close friends and fellow YouTube creators like Kian Lawley, Corinna Kopf, Scotty Sire, and photographer Bryant Eslava. You can add to the growing tally right here.
La Barrie, a comedic creator who also appeared in the first season of Lawley and Jc Caylen's The Reality House, died in an alleged drunk driving accident on Sunday, which also happened to be his 25th birthday. Scotty Sire, a founding member of David Dobrik’s 'Vlog Squad' -- who counts 2.7 million subscribers on his personal YouTube channel and 2.6 million followers on Instagram -- has taken another major step on the difficult-though-well-trod road from YouTuber to music star.
Sire, 27, performed at Wango Tango over the weekend to preview a new single titled "Notice Me," dropping June 14. The performance at Wango Tango -- an annual day-long concert hosted by the noted L.A. radio station Kiis-fm -- also coincided with the debut of Sire's new music video for another track titled "Get Better." That clip, which is currently standing at No. 26 on YouTube's ‘Trending’ chart, features appearances by several of Sire’s Vlog Squad friends, and also includes footage from his recent national tour.
Sire performed at a side stage at Wango Tango, but was in illustrious company nonetheless. This year's featured lineup comprised performances from the likes...

Vlog Squad member Scotty Sire has released several rap and pop music videos on his YouTube channel, which counts 2.3 million subscribers. But now, the 26-year-old -- who counts 6 million followers across all platforms -- has taken the plunge with the release of his debut album, Ruin Your Party.
The album, which hit No. 7 on the iTunes pop charts and No. 55 overall on Saturday despite some technical difficulties upon its digital release, was preceded by several singles, including “American Love,” “Awkward," and “Take Me Away” -- for which Sire just released a music video. His music is characterized by tongue-in-cheek lyrics and catchy beats. He collaborated with co-producer and co-writer Terence Coles on “Away’, and with influencer-musician Myles Parrish and Grammy winner Elijah Blake on "American Love."
“This is my first album, which I felt was important to self-fund and put my heart and soul into,” Sire said in a statement.

Yet another member of YouTube’s ‘Vlog Squad’ -- a crew of former Viners who have risen to renown via appearances in David Dobrik’s massively popular daily vlogs -- is furthering his foray into music.
Lithuanian-born hip hop artist and YouTube star Dom Zeglaitis has recruited fellow Squad members Jason Nash, BigNik, and Seth Francois for his latest track, appropriately dubbed "Vlog Squad." The song arrived on Valetine’s Day -- roughly two weeks after Scotty Sire, another Vlog Squad member, released the trending lyric video for his pop tune "Mister Glassman." In "Vlog Squad," the guys make the usual boasts about money and women, and Zeglaitis also manages to work in a clever promo for his online merch store Zeggoz.com.

Since Scotty Sire launched his YouTube channel in 2014, his most-viewed videos have been musical in nature. A comedic rap called "Sad Song," uploaded last February, has reeled in 8.5 million views. A similarly-styled track, "My Life Sucks," arrived nine months after that and has since tallied 3.9 million views of its own.
Sire has now offered up another music video, and while this one is a departure from his previous work, it is also performing well. His lyric video for 'Mister Glassman,' which features a more pop-like tone than his previous songs, has received more than 650,000 views in its first three days of activity.
'Mister Glassman' is a bouncy tune that features lots of piano and draws influences from jazz and showtunes. “One of the biggest influences, at least for the name [of the song], was 'Mister Cellophane’ from the musical Chicago. I liked the message and I love the old school sound of show- tunes,...
