“Game of Thrones" actress Sophie Turner, poses for the May 2024 issue of “Vogue” (UK) magazine, wearing Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Wales Bonner, photographed by Mikael Jansson:
"I don't really have a process," said Turner about her acting technique.
"I'm very much an in-the-moment actress. I suppose I just kind of wing it…
“…because I feel that as long as I know my character, I should be able to be spontaneous on set.
“I learn something new everyday about myself as an actor, my capabilities. How far I can stretch myself, throw out emotions I never knew I had…”

Joan Vassos is set to appear this fall as the first-ever Golden Bachelorette. Vassos is familiar with the world of dating competitions. She appeared in Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor and was a fan favorite before self-eliminating in week three. While Vassos is optimistic about her chances of finding love on The Golden Bachelorette, fans shouldn’t get prepped for another golden wedding. Vassos recently revealed wedding bells aren’t in her near future, despite being the lead on a dating show that regularly ends in engagement.
Joan Vassos isn’t getting married immediately after ‘The Golden Bachelorette’
Joan Vassos is excited about the prospect of finding her perfect match. Still, The Golden Bachelorette fans shouldn’t expect to see the mother of four and educator walk down the aisle on national TV just months after her season airs. Unlike Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist, Vassos is in no rush to marry.

Known as the Master of Suspense, Alfred Hitchcock left a legacy that the filmmakers still use while writing tense scripts and making horror and thriller movies. His most influential works are Psycho, Vertigo, The Birds and, of course, Rear Window.
70 years ago, the latter mystery thriller, which follows a story of a wheelchair-bound photographer who was spying on his neighbors, became a ground-breaking sensation. Since then, it has inspired a number of movies, and these include the film that is now holding the second place in Netflix’s global chart, even though it was released in 2007.
Its plot revolves around Kale, a 17-year-old sullen boy who ended up under house arrest after assaulting his teacher. There he turns his attention to spying on the neighborhood out of boredom, however, this childish game soon takes quite an unexpected turn.

Looking back at the legendary Queen of Rock and Roll, and Grammy winner Tina Turner’s career, we can certainly agree that the late icon not only dominated the music industry but also portrayed her versatility in a few critically acclaimed projects. However, despite her serious acting aspirations, Turner felt limited by opportunities for Black women as well as the type of roles she was being offered.

Joan Vassos is getting another shot at love.
The 61-year-old school administrator has been cast as the inaugural Golden Bachelorette, ABC announced Tuesday during Disney’s Upfront presentation.
Vassos was an early frontrunner during Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor. She unfortunately had to voluntarily leave the show during Week 3 due to a family emergency. During the Women Tell All, Vassos admitted that she felt there was some unfinished business between her and Turner. At times, she said it was hard not to wonder what may have happened if she’d stayed.
ABC also announced that The Golden Bachelorette, which debuts this fall, will air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Et/Pt before new episodes of Abbott Elementary.

Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist are officially getting divorced. The first-ever golden couple made it just three months into their marriage before they decided they were not right for each other. There have been plenty of instances where a The Bachelor or The Bachelorette lead has decided the winner they picked wasn’t right for them. Nearly a month after announcing his divorce from Theresa Nist, The Golden Bachelor star Gerry Turner has posted for the first time on social media. On May 9, the 72-year-old shared a series of photos on his Instagram page. He revealed what he’s been up to since the split. “My favorite time of the year on the Lake, and Cody’s too!” Turner captioned his post, which featured photos of his dog. “In addition to her loving up on my dad and taking boat rides, she has the full time job of keeping the geese off the shore. Summer is close.” Turner didn’t address his divorce from Nist in his post, but she quickly “liked” Turner’s post. Since the couple revealed the shocking news on Good Morning America on April 12, just three months after their live TV wedding, Turner has not spoken publicly about the breakup. Three days...

The Golden Bachelor couple Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner announced their plans to divorce in early April. The announcement came just three months after the duo said “I do” in front of millions during a televised ceremony.
The couple insisted a logistical problem caused the end of their romance. Not everyone believes that. Since the announcement, rumors have swirled. The Bachelor alum Ben Higgins said he heard Nist and Turner’s relationship began to unravel after she suggested cornfields and farmlands in Indiana could be turned into prime real estate.

Kathy Swarts is very open to appearing on the first season of The Golden Bachelorette. ABC has yet to announce the lead in the upcoming series, but fans strongly suspect that one of the favorites from Gerry Turner’s season will lead the series. Susan Noles was a frontrunner, but she’s dating other men already. Joan Vassos and Faith Martin are fan favorites, but neither has committed to the series. If Swarts is named the first-ever golden bachelorette, ABC must send any man who has never been married packing before he even encounters the eligible bachelorette. Swarts has a very important prerequisite for the men she entertains.

Frank Turner has officially broken the world record for the most shows live shows played in 24 hours.
The English artist played 15 independent shows across 15 different cities in a 24 hour period on Saturday, May 4th. He had previously accomplished a similar feat back in 2009, where he played 24 shows in 24 hours — but all in the greater London area, and in an “unofficial” fashion. He also toured all 50 states in the US in the span of 50 dates in 2022. Now, in honor of the Music Venue Trust (Mvt), Turner played 15 independent shows each in a different town, with tickets sold by independent record shops.
The Mvt’s rules for the world record attempt stipulated that Turner was to perform for a minimum of 15 minutes with at least 25 audience members present, and he couldn’t repeat any previously-played venues during the trek. He began the feat on Saturday with a show in Liverpool and worked...

Jeannie Epper, the peerless, fearless stunt performer who doubled for Lynda Carter on Wonder Woman and swung on a vine across a 350-foot gorge and propelled down an epic mudslide as Kathleen Turner in Romancing the Stone, has died. She was 83.
Epper died Sunday night of natural causes at her home in Simi Valley, her family told The Hollywood Reporter.
Just one member of a dynasty of stunt performers that Steven Spielberg dubbed the “Flying Wallendas of Film” — starting with her father, John Epper, there have been four generations of Eppers in show business since the 1930s — she worked on 150-plus films and TV shows during an astounding 70-year career.

When filmmaker Rachel Elizabeth Seed first hears the recorded voice of her late mother Sheila Turner Seed, who died when she was only 18 months old, a long-buried sense of connection is instantly reawakened. Seed, also a photographer, has spent years trying to construct a portrait of Turner from the substantial archival materials she left behind following a career as an adventurous, globe-trotting journalist. Each element — Turner’s journals, the interviews she conducted, the television programs she appeared in, the photographs she took and her family’s home movies dating back to her childhood — adds depth to Seed’s vividly introspective documentary “A Photographic Memory.” But beyond the wealth of resources at her disposal, it’s the consistently meta and thematically relevant formal ingenuity Seed shrewdly deploys that make her debut a sumptuous piece of nonfiction.

Hulu’s list of new releases for May 2024 is missing a certain amount of original series firepower. In the place of a blockbuster like The Handmaid’s Tale or Shōgun, however, is some content diversity.
The first of the month sees the premiere of four-episode British series Shardlake. This mystery drama takes place during the reign of Henry VIII and features none other than Thomas Cromwell (Sean Bean) investigating a murder. Other series of note this month include the Korean drama Uncle Samsik on May 15.
Movies are bit more interesting on Hulu in May. Teen comedy Prom Dates premieres on May 3. That will be followed by the 2023 Adam Drive film Ferrari on May 24. Before all that though is the real heavy hitter. You can watch Austin Butler’s acclaimed performance as The King in Elvis as early as May 1. Few shows have managed to achieve what Game of Thrones has. Over the years that it was on air, the show built itself a loyal fanbase who felt every emotion the characters felt. Game of Thrones established itself as a cultural phenomenon and gained followers throughout the globe. Not even the countless heartbreaking deaths in the show could turn its audience away.
Game of Thrones (2011-2019)One of the many things that Game of Thrones is known for, whether it’s the TV or the books, is its gruesome and hard-to-watch scenes. One scene that was a bit too much for the audience in particular was the one involving Ramsay Bolton and Sansa Stark on their wedding night in season five. We just unlocked horrible memories, didn’t we? Well, while the scene should have been difficult to film for Sophie Turner, the actress revealed that she actually enjoyed it.

Exclusive: The rise and fall of World Championship Wrestling (WCW) is to be explored in a new docuseries for Vice TV.
Dwayne Johnson and Dany Garcia, founders of Seven Bucks Productions, are exec producing Who Killed WCW?
WCW was founded by Ted Turner in 1988 after his Turner Broadcasting System acquired the assets of National Wrestling Alliance territory Jim Crockett Productions. It competed aggressively with the then-titled WWF (now WWE), regularly beating it in the ratings on Monday nights where its Monday Nitro outrated Monday Night Raw. However, it endured significant losses and suffered from the merger between Turner parent Tim Warner and AOL and was shut down in 2001.
The series, which premieres on June 4, will explore the complex factors that led to the promotion’s downfall, including management challenges, creative decisions, and the intense competition during the infamous Monday Night Wars. Game of Thrones s*x scenes were always considered problematic, especially since several actors had opened up about the demeaning nature of them. However, the show crossed all lines with one particularly disgusting scene in Season 5 Episode 6. Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark is subjected to brutal r*pe by her new husband, the sadistic Ramsay Bolton, in this episode. The scene was not only unwatchable but also problematic on multiple levels, prompting a fan outcry.
One Game of Thrones scene involving Sophie Turner’s Sansa Stark received widespread criticism from fans
The infamous ‘Black Wedding’ episode was not a part of George R.R. Martin’s original books. Sansa Stark had already been through enough trauma in the series and another torture/r*pe scene did not add anything to her character arc.

The Golden Bachelor‘s leading man, Gerry Turner, and the winner of his season, Theresa Nist, announced their divorce earlier this month, and it led to an intense reaction from fans. Viewers watched Turner and Nist meet and grow close throughout the ABC reality show, becoming invested in their love story. The former couple got engaged during the November 30, 2023, finale and tied the knot at the La Quinta Resort in California, which aired in a televised special on January 4, 2024. However, since the divorce news broke, some fans have had extreme reactions. Turner’s daughter, Angie Warner, has since addressed the public backlash, saying her family has been met with “rage and cruelty.” “It’s no surprise the news of my Dad and Theresa choosing to split has sparked a range of emotions and opinions. Having spent years in development limbo as films were announced only to vanish back into the ether, we are finally getting a screen version of William Gibson's iconic cyberpunk tome Neuromancer via a series in the works at Apple TV+. And the show's creative team is plucking an Apple TV veteran to star, as Masters Of The Air's Callum Turner is aboard in the lead role.
Gibson's book, which was first published in 1984, went on to receive a Hugo Award, a Nebula Award, and the Philip K. Dick Award. The novel follows Henry Case (the role Turner is taking), a washed-up hacker hired for one last job by a shady ex-military officer, which brings him in contact with a powerful artificial intelligence.

Forty years ago, author William Gibson brought the world a cyberpunk novel called Neuromancer – and an adaptation of that story has been trudging its way through development hell pretty much ever since. Versions of a feature film adaptation have passed through the hands of director like music video maker Chris Cunningham, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and The Blob‘s Chuck Russell, Torque‘s Joseph Kahn, Cube‘s Vincenzo Natali, and Deadpool‘s Tim Miller. While these projects were being put together (and while they fell apart), Neuromancer fans always wondered who would end up playing the lead character, Henry Dorsett Case. Hayden Christensen was rumored to be the top contender when Kahn was going to direct (with Liv Tyler rumored to co-star). Liam Neeson and Mark Wahlberg were said to be in the running for Natali’s version, although it wasn’t said who they might be playing.

Actor Justin Hartley has become a huge primetime star with his iconic role in This Is Us as Kevin Pearson, not to mention his huge breakout hit this year, playing Colter Shaw on Tracker. Still, he recently had an interview where he talked about his “ridiculous” start on soap operas.
Justin Hartley’s – Early Daytime Drama Days
Before diving into the world of primetime, Hartley started in the land of daytime drama. From 2002-2006, he was in the soap opera (now canceled) called Passions where he played Nicholas Foxworth “Fox” Crane.
Not overly shocking, but the show took advantage of Justin’s chiseled features and ripped physique, showcasing him in plentiful scenes where Hartley walked around without a shirt on.
Justin reflected on his time with the soap, noting that the show had him shirtless around a hospital for three weeks. He adds that it was “ridiculous”, but he loved it.
