ABC’s Doctor Odyssey is adding another cast member to its staff: Sean Teale (The Gifted, Reign) will be joining Joshua Jackson as a series regular on the upcoming medical drama, TVLine has learned.
No character details for Teale’s role have been released, but we know that Jackson stars as the title character, “whose charms help him get what he wants.” Doctor Odyssey — which has received a straight-to-series order from ABC and is slated to debut this fall — is set aboard a cruise ship, with Don Johnson (Miami Vice) and Phillipa Soo (Shining Girls) also set to co-star.

ABC’s Dr. Odyssey has added another actor to its ensemble in Who Is Erin Carter? star Sean Teale.
Teale will star opposite Joshua Jackson, Don Johnson and Phillipa Soo in the series, which comes from mega-producer Ryan Murphy and co-creators Jon Robin Baitz and Joe Baken. As has been the case with other casting, details about Teale’s role are being kept quiet.
Sources described Dr. Odyssey as a medical show set on a cruise ship, with elements of House and Murphy’s 2000s FX drama Nip/Tuck. Jackson will be playing the doctor in the title.
Teale starred with Evin Ahmad in Who Is Erin Carter?, a Netflix limited series that had a brief breakout run in summer 2023. He’ll next be seen in Netflix’s feature film Mother of the Bride with Brooke Shields, Benjamin Bratt and Miranda Cosgrove. Teale’s other credits include Reign, Skins and Mr. Selfridge.

There's a great-looking new anthology series coming to AMC from producer Ridley Scott called The Terror. We have the first trailer for you to watch today and it looks awesomely impressive. The teaser definitely got me excited to watch this thing! It looks like it's going to be a high-quality series that audiences will get sucked into.
Inspired by a true story, The Terror centers on the Royal Navy’s perilous voyage into unchartered territory as the crew attempts to discover the Northwest Passage. Faced with treacherous conditions, limited resources, dwindling hope and fear of the unknown, the crew is pushed to the brink of extinction. Frozen, isolated and stuck at the end of the earth, The Terror highlights all that can go wrong when a group of men, desperate to survive, struggle not only with the elements, but with each other.

CBS says it is “looking into” sexual harassment allegations made against Jeremy Piven, who currently stars on the network’s Sunday night drama “Wisdom of the Crowd.” In a pair of tweets posted on Monday, October 30, reality star Ariane Bellamar accused Piven of sexually harassing her in his trailer during the filming of HBO’s “Entourage.” Bellamar claims Piven grabbed her breast without asking. When she tried to leave, the actor allegedly touched her butt.

With the demise of Apb, you might think that we’d wait a while before we had to endure another series about a tech billionaire who is tragedied into taking on law enforcement, but Wisdom of the Crowd gives the same outline another go. The main differences are that Jeffrey Tanner (Jeremy Piven) isn’t a wisecracking man-child, and instead of outfitting a police force with gadgets, we’re just running a crowdsourcing crime App.
The show may spin the premise, but it has the same potential and is likely to fall victim to the same problems.
Tanner is the creator of a mythical social media site that he suddenly sells off so that he can focus his time on an App that he imagines will be used by everyone to help fight crime. His daughter was tragically killed, and though the police charged someone who was subsequently convicted of the crime,...

An exchange between two of the teen protagonists in BBC America’s “Doctor Who” spinoff “Class” takes place a little over halfway through the season and exemplifies some of the series’ unique strengths:
Ram, trying to explain his Sikh religion: “We believe the important thing in your life is to do good action. But if you do the good action, somewhere in the process there’s got to be God, even if you don’t have faith or believe that there’s some dude out there looking after you. Isn’t doing a good thing, one human to another, the closest we’re going to get to God?”
April: “And what about the bad things we do, one human to another?”
It’s the type of philosophical discussion that one might have in quieter contemplative moments, but since this is the world of “Doctor Who,” it instead occurs on a shadowy alien world,...

Ok, you can admit it now -- you loved "Downton Abbey" just like the rest of us. The show captured almost everyone's attention for as long as it was on the air and introduced TV devotees to the glory that is British period television. Once viewers found out that the updated versions of these (mostly) historical events were packed with salacious details, torrid affairs, sassy grandmas, and so much more, they were in for the duration.
Now that you're obsessed with British period shows, whether they're loosely based on true events, like "The Tudors," or are works of fiction set in historical times, similar to "Outlander" (sometimes referred to as a British-American show hybrid), get to know the handful of usual suspects that we can't help but notice make their mark in nigh every show.
