An NCIS: Origins cast video was released to get potential viewers excited.
This new show from the NCISverse is taking some risks, as the producers hope fans want to see stories from younger versions of some important characters.
Flashback episodes of NCIS went over very well, with stories like when Leroy Jethro Gibbs first met Donald Mallard. They even had Mark Harmon’s son (Sean Harmon) play a younger version of Gibbs.
The idea to do flashbacks has been fleshed out into a full series, with episodes of NCIS: Origins debuting in Fall 2024.
The new show gets the 10/9c timeslot on Mondays that has been vacated by NCIS: Hawai’i. Unfortunately, the Vanessa Lachey NCIS spin-off was canceled by CBS.
NCIS Season 22 will air on Mondays at 9/8c in the fall, serving as the lead-in for this new prequel show.

Hazel and Byron are really over. HBO Max has cancelled the Made for Love TV series so the characters won't be back for a third season.
A single-camera comedy series, the Made for Love TV show is based on the novel of the same name by Alissa Nutting. The show stars Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, Dan Bakkedahl, Noma Dumezweni, Augusto Aguilera, Caleb Foote and Ray Romano. This cynically poignant story of love and divorce follows Hazel Green (Milioti), a thirty-something woman who's on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to Byron Gogol (Magnussen), a controlling tech billionaire. She discovers that her husband has implanted a high-tech tracking device in her brain -- the Made for Love chip. This chip allows him to track her, watch her, and know her "emotional data" as she...

HBO Max is breaking up with Made for Love.
The streaming service has officially canceled the Cristin Milioti-fronted dark comedy after two seasons, according to Variety.
“We are tremendously grateful for the truly spectacular journey of these past two seasons, courtesy of Alissa Nutting, Christina Lee, Cristin [Milioti], Billy [Magnussen], Ray [Romano] and the entire Made for Love cast and creative team — especially Zelda the talking dolphin and everyone’s favorite synthetic love interest, Diane,” HBO Max said in a statement to Variety.
“Like a Gogol chip, the series will always be on our minds.”
Based on the novel by Alissa Nutting, Made for Love is a humorous story of modern love and divorce.
Made for Love Season 1 followed Hazel Green (Cristin Milioti), a thirty-something woman on the run after ten years in a suffocating marriage to tech billionaire Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen), as smart as he is insufferable.

“The book was so surprising,” showrunner Christina Lee says of Alissa Nutting’s novel “Made for Love,” which inspired the HBO Max series of the same name. Lee and Nutting are both executive producers and writers on the freshman sci-fi comedy series. Nutting “really wanted this to be a companion piece to her book as opposed to a straight adaptation,” Lee shares, but as showrunner, “I wanted to make sure that we maintained that tone that she had clearly in the book.” Watch our exclusive video interview above.

“I read the first few pages of the pilot and was in love,” shares Stephanie Laing on the script for HBO Max’s “Made for Love,” a sci-fi comedy drama that follows the fallout of tech visionary Byron (Billy Magnussen) secretly implanting a chip in the brain of his wife Hazel (Cristin Milioti). Laing co-executive produces the series and directed six of the first season’s eight episodes. Watch our exclusive interview with Laing above.
The series toggles between two extremely different settings – the real world where Hazel’s father Herbert (Ray Romano) lives and the virtual reality “Hub” that Byron creates to exist entirely in isolation. Laing talks about the importance of color palate, wardrobe, and sound design to creating a unique feel for these two universes because “the magic lies in the details.”

Made for Love has ended its first season, and it is not yet known if there will be a second season of the HBO Max series. However, co-creator and showrunner Christina Lee does have plans for a second season.
A dark comedy, the TV show is based on the novel of the same name by Alissa Nutting. The show stars Cristin Milioti, Billy Magnussen, Dan Bakkedahl, Noma Dumezweni, Augusto Aguilera, Caleb Foote and Ray Romano. A cynically poignant story of love and divorce, the series follows Hazel Green (Milioti), a thirty-something woman who's on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to Byron Gogol (Magnussen), a controlling tech billionaire. She discovers that her husband has implanted a high-tech tracking device in her brain -- the Made for Love chip. This chip allows him to track her, watch her, and know her "emotional...

About one (1) minute into “Made For Love,” the jig is up. After an idyllic ad for a relationship cure-all (also called “Made For Love”), featuring married couple Hazel (Cristin Milioti) and Byron (Billy Magnussen) walking toward each other and the camera with beatific smiles, there’s a hard cut to Hazel emerging from a hole in the ground, soaking wet and gasping for air. Once she squeezes herself out, she looks around at the dusty desert surrounding her and heaves a huge sigh and laugh of pure relief. She glances back at an enormous white building in the far distance, sticks her middle finger at it with such concentrated hostility that it practically vibrates, and stumbles away as fast as her bare feet can take her.
….and then we flash “24 Hours Earlier” to Hazel and Byron in bed, ensconced within that mysterious building and all its many amenities, the...

"Our minds will be one!... Why not improve the way we love?" HBO Max has released the full trailer for an intriguing new sci-fi series called Made for Love, a freaky contemporary take on controlling men and their obsession with technology used to control. This looks like it's quite a bit about Elon Musk, or some other eccentric billionaire like that. A young woman, on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to a tech billionaire, suddenly realizes that her husband has implanted a revolutionary monitoring device in her brain that allows him to track her every move. Cristin Milioti stars as Hazel, joined by Billy Magnussen as her crazy husband. The cast includes Augusto Aguilera, Noma Dumezweni, Ray Romano, Caleb Foote, Dutch Johnson, and Raymond Lee. We're breaking our no-tv rule to post this trailer just because it's such a fascinating concept that looks super wacky and daring at the same time.

Step aside, Mr. Grey, because HBO Max has released the first teaser trailer for the Cristin Milioti-led dark comedy “Made for Love,” and it features a truly haunting rendition of Beyonce’s “Crazy in Love” by Ray Romano.
The series, an adaptation of the 2017 novel by Alissa Nutting, stars Milioti as Hazel Green, a woman on the run after 10 years in a suffocating marriage to tech billionaire Byron Gogol (Billy Magnussen). Hazel soon discovers that Byron has implanted a monitoring device — the Made for Love chip — in her brain, allowing him to watch her every move as she seeks refuge with her aging widower father Herbert (Ray Romano) and his “synthetic partner,” Diane.
Yep, seems pretty crazy.
In addition to Milioti, Magnussen and Romano, the series also stars Dan Bakkedahl, Noma Dumezweni and Augusto Aguilera. Guest stars include Caleb Foote, Kym Whitley, Nyasha Hatendi, Patti Harrison, Ione Skye, Jon Daly,...

Now that ABC has “fully and finally cancelled” Whiskey Cavalier — and before the window of opportunity closes for the network to rethink another of its more dubious decisions — may I suggest that it make haste and un-axe The Kids Are Alright?

The Tim Doyle-created The Kids Are Alright has been canceled by ABC.
Penned and executive produced by the former Last Man Standing showrunner, the first season of the 1970s-set ensemble comedy premiered October 16 last year and is scheduled to wrap up on May 21 in what will now be a series finale.
Following a very traditional Irish-Catholic family in suburban L.A. amidst the hangover from the 1960s, parents Mike (Michael Cudlitz) and Peggy (Mary McCormack) are overwhelmed raising eight boys and are hit by a figurative truck when oldest son Lawrence (Sam Straley) returns home to declare he’s quitting the seminary to “save the world.”
As Doyle stated repeatedly when the show was picked up by the Disney-owned net to series in 2018, the Tkaa is inspired by his family and childhood with fifth son Timmy (Jack Gore) essentially playing the Ep as a boy.

Next up is a 1970s-set family comedy that may be running out of… time.

ABC has given back orders to Tuesday comedy series The Kids Are Alright and Splitting Up Together. With that, the network has picked up additional episodes of all of its fall series that did not have full-season orders.
ABC would not specify the size of the pickups for freshman Kids Are Alright and sophomore Splitting Up Together beyond calling them full-season orders. I hear Kids Are Alright has received a Back 9 order for a traditional 22-episode full season, while Splitting Up Together will produced five additional episodes for a 18-episode second season.
Kids Are Alright, from ABC Studios, has been the stronger ratings performer of the two, as the 1970s blue-collar family comedy, airing at 8:30 Pm, is benefiting from a stronger lead-in from The Conners. Romantic comedy Splitting Up Together, from Warner Bros TV, airs behind Black-ish at 9:30 Pm and regularly ranks as the least=watched ABC series...
