New Delhi, July 10 (Ians) Non-academic learning and community platform FrontRow, backed by celebrities like Deepika Padukone and rapper Raftaar, has shut down, media reports said on Monday.
Ishaan Preet Singh, Co-founder of FrontRow, confirmed to TechCrunch that the startup is winding up and is “exploring IP acquisition talks and possibility to return the unused capital to investors”.
The startup had raised nearly $18 million, backed by Elevation Capital, Eight Roads Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Not Boring Capital, among others.
In August 2021, Raftaar invested an undisclosed amount in the FrontRow app, after the app had secured seed funding of $3.2 million from Padukone, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Elevation Capital (formerly Saif Partners).

It shows the comedian taking the audience on an entertaining journey where he is venting out about varied relatable hooks such as the Metaverse, online shopping, fairy tales, and childhood frustration.
The show marks his reunion with his ‘Pretentious Movie Reviews’ partner Kanan Gill as the latter takes the directorial responsibilities for Biswa’s special. The trailer also shows his trademark style of delivery and pointing out the ironies in the medium of metaverse.
Biswa takes a humorous approach to each of these subjects, using his sharp observational skills to poke fun at the absurdities of modern life.

Comedian Kaneez Surka, one of the mentors of the new season of comedy reality show "Comicstaan Season 2", says the participants are much prepared this time.
At the show's press conference on Wednesday, Kaneez said: "I have to mention that the new participants are better prepared. I think they have now the reference of our previous season so that they got the idea of the competition. Their jokes are better."
The event was graced by the host of the show comedian Urooj Ashfaq and Abish Mathew.
The participants of the show will be mentored and judged by some of the celebrated comedians like Zakir Khan, Neeti Palta, Sumukhi Suresh, Biswa Kalyan Rath, Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastain along with Kaneez.
"Comicstaan Season 2" will stream on Amazon Prime Video from July 12. A new episode will be released on every Friday.
