'John Tucker Must Die' is officially getting a sequel almost 20 years later. The cult classic teen comedy, which was released in 2006 and starred Jesse Metcalfe as the titular heartbreaker, is poised for a revival after the leading man admitted he had heard "there is a script".Speaking with his fellow cast members during a panel at Epic Cons Chicago, he said: "I’ve been hearing rumblings about this script circulating Hollywood - apparently it’s amazing.”Although Metcalfe insisted he hadn't been asked to reprise his role or even seen the script, he added: "I'd definitely love to be a part of it, and I can't wait to read it."His co-star Arielle Kebbel went one further and confirmed she is heavily involved in the highly anticipated sequel. She said: “The rumour is true . I started producing a few years ago. There is a script. We are very proud of it.

“John Tucker Must Die” is being resurrected.
The beloved high school rom-com that had a Shakespearean revenge premise is getting the delayed-sequel treatment, according to one the original film’s stars Arielle Kebbel. She’ll not just reprise her role of Carrie in this one, but also produce.
“John Tucker Must Die” centered around a philandering popular jock (Jesse Metcalfe) whose series of girlfriends devise a plan to turn the heartbreak tables around on him. Enter: Brittany Snow. The 2006 film also starred Sophia Bush, Penn Badgley, and the singer Ashanti. It was directed by Betty Thomas.
John Tucker, who definitely ain’t dead yet, may even get a redemption arc in this one.
“I’ve heard rumors of this script — there’s a script,” Metcalfe said earlier this week during a panel at Epic Cons Chicago (via E! Online). “Apparently, it’s amazing.”

Oh yes, Lifetime is back covering another V.C. Andrews Saga.
And we're back with our reviews of this utter madness. We're kicking off the cutthroat Cutlers saga with V.C. Andrews' Dawn this time.
And the generational battle of the badass blonds was deliciously epic and entertaining.
It wouldn't be a V.C. Andrews special without scandalous family secrets, shady rich people, incestual relationships worth side-eying, and deliciously evil women.
But dare one say they were fairly light on some of those things, which was a bit of a surprise.
Another surprise was just how enjoyable Dawn Longchamp Cutler (?) was as a protagonist.
No offense to some of the other V.C. Andrews' girlies, ahem, Heaven, let's be real, it's freaking Heaven, but for the most part, Dawn at least seemed like she had full control of the brain cell at all times, if you catch my drift.
The girl was sassy,...

Lifetime isn't Lifetime without V.C. Andrews's book-to-screen adaptations!
And we know you're excited about the four-part Cutler Saga, kicking things off with the first in the series, Dawn.
We can already tell you it's pure campy fun, and the cast is no joke.
We had the opportunity to sit in on a presser with the cast of Dawn, with a special appearance by V.C. Andrews' ghost writer, Andrew Neiderman.
It was all copacetic as everyone discussed how they got into character, gushed over star Brec Bassinger's performance and work ethic, and expressed all the fun they had filming this piece.
Fortunately, TV Fanatic got the opportunity to jump on Zoom with star, Bassinger, to discuss what it was like to play the film's titular role as we follow her through her journey from adolescence through adulthood.

In the Andrew Llloyd Webber musical Evita, there is a plaintive number sung by a character known only as the Mistress, shortly after Eva has taken her place in Juan Peron’s affections. “I don’t expect my love affairs to last for long/Never fool myself that my dreams will come true,” the Mistress bemoans, adding, “all my words desert me/So anyone can hurt me and they do.” It’s the cri de coeur of the eternal sidepiece, the woman who constantly invests her hopes and dreams in powerful,...

Adaptations can be tricky beasts that often run the risk of not living up to the heights of the original source material but when filmmaker Luke Bather, part of the production company We Are Invite, read a comic by friend and eventual co-writer John Tucker, he immediately knew he needed to make a film about the baldest man in the world. The resulting sharp-tongued farcical short Bald follows the cult-like status garnered by Jeff (played by Jimmy Watkins) who unwittingly becomes a revered figure in his small Welsh hometown. While his strange super-follicle affliction may lead to madness for those who stare directly at it, it also brings him to the communal heart of the local social club. Led by a quirky and witty narration, Bather’s film delights with relatable and heartening characters who each bring their own elements to the tale. Ahead of Bald’s premiere on Dn...

Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke play teens swapping revenge plots in this enjoyable, if overlong, throwback teen comedy
Do Revenge, a sharp Netflix dark comedy starring Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke as vengeance-obsessed high schoolers, is a virtual parade of teen movie nostalgia – a shopping mall of homages, if you will. The students at posh Rosehill Academy in Miami wear ludicrously elaborate outfits, a la Clueless. Popular kids lounge on a fountain, a la Scream. There’s a tour of Rosehill’s cliques – the zodiac thoughts club, the theater nerds – a la Mean Girls and 10 Things I Hate About You. As in She’s All That or Clueless or countless others, Mendes’s Drea, a stone-cold striver singularly focused on getting into – where else? – Yale, gives awkward newcomer Eleanor (Hawke) a makeover. Rosehill’s principal, the only adult character, is played by 90s star Sarah Michelle Gellar.

They don't make 'em like they used to. Which might be for the best in the case of John Tucker Must Die, the 2006 cult-classic comedy starring Jesse Metcalfe as a shameless teen lothario brought low by the girls he was two- (and three-) timing, but who starts to glimpse the error of his ways once he meets Miss Right. Even if Kate, played by Brittany Snow, is just pretending to be his match in order to exact revenge on behalf of his scorned exes. "He kinda deserves his comeuppance," Metcalfe admitted to E! News when the movie came out, quick to acknowledge that he knew John Tucker was bad news. Though not for playing the field,...

Co-written by Chilcoat and David Birke, the thriller centers on Charlie (Bracey), a charismatic Army recruiter, who is tasked with signing the “big fish” for a promotion. The only person standing in his way is Erik, a disturbed ex-vet that Charlie convinced to enlist years before. A Traction and Arclight Films production, Big Nickel is produced by Traction’s Jason Tamasco and Zak Kristofek. Executive producers include Arclight Films’ Gary Hamilton, Ryan Hamilton and Ying Ye.
A native of Australia, Bracey is best known for turns in Netflix original rom-com Holidate, Warner Bros. and Lionsgate’s Point Break remake, Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate’s Oscar-winning war film Hacksaw Ridge and acclaimed Hulu miniseries, Little Fires Everywhere.

Ray Milland directs a fine western drama, strong on character and tension; it garnered enough praise to set him on a second, minor career behind the camera. Milland also stars as a gunman in the wrong place at the wrong time — framed for a mass murder in an unforgiving frontier town. Who ya gonna blame? That nasty sidewinder villain Raymond Burr, of course.

There is beauty in the simplicity of a time-honored concept in film. Longstanding cinematic tropes can act as the perfect conduit for some much-needed escapism from the dizzying nature of our day-to-day lives.
Based on the most conventional premise that he’s approached in his career to date, Steve McQueen’s Widows fulfills this criterion of familiarity via the revenge genre. Familiarity here though, doesn’t equal compromise or artistic complacency. In typically subversive fashion, and in keeping with his courageous filmography, this star-studded thriller builds on Lynda La Plante’s drama series of the same name to chart the plight of four bereaved women who refuse to be persecuted for their husbands’ ill-fated deeds. John D. Tucker, Director Pas Honteux
Directed by John D. Tucker Pas Honteux is the story of a young African American slacker who wakes up one day speaking only French. The film brings to light the fact that we not only judge people by their looks but also by the way they speak.
So, what if a young urban African American wakes up and suddenly speaks only French?
The film begins and takes off from there and must be seen to be believed. It jumps from modern hip-hop inspired visuals to sharp contrast new wave bringing new meaning to both styles of filmmaking.
It turns out that the only person he can now communicate with is an older homeless street dwelling man who can speak French to him and they bond.
The film stars Travis Labranch (Shots Fired), Leon Lamar, and Javicia Leslie, is written by Sundance Alum Marcus J.
