Luma Pictures recently worked on ‘Black Panther’.
Film Victoria and Creative Victoria have teamed to offer 12 early career Victorian VFX practitioners a six-month paid placement at either Method Studios or Luma Pictures in Melbourne.
Recent projects worked on by Luma include Captain Marvel and Black Panther, while Method has worked on Game of Thrones, Aquaman and Christopher Robin.
In its first year, the placement program will include work on projects such as Peter Rabbit 2, the untitled Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sequel and Terminator: Dark Fate.
Method Studios head of VFX Simon Rosenthal said: “Nurturing home-grown talent is pivotal to our business as we continue to expand. This is an outstanding opportunity for both Method Studios and those starting a career in the wonderful world of VFX and animation.”
