The downside to playing a character like Gus Fring, Breaking Bad’s soft-spoken purveyor of fried chicken and crystal meth, is that once audiences have gotten a taste of it, that’s all they want from you. Even when he’s wielding a Darksaber or managing a stable of celebrity superheroes, many of Giancarlo Esposito’s subsequent roles have asked him to stick pretty closely to Fring’s politely psychotic shtick. As such, his grittier, growlier turn as retired wheelman Gracián “Gray” Parish in AMC’s crime drama Parish makes for a nice change of pace.
Gray seems like your average family man. He runs a car company and lives in a nice suburban home with his wife, Ros (Paula Malcomson), and their daughter, Makayla (Arica Himmel). Seeing strong and impactful female characters on TV inspires us, rallying us to do better like these females have done whenever the chips were down.
Some of these characters have inspired us for years, like Svu’s Olivia Benson or Btvs’s Buffy Summers, while other females have only recently hit our TV screens, like The Way Home’s Del Landry. However, these female characters have resonated with us over the years.
Some of the stories may have hit too close to home, like Netflix’s Georgia Miller running from an abusive past, and we cheered her on every step of the way.
We want to honor and recognize these women during National Women’s Month. They’ve taught us that we can achieve our dreams and not let anyone mess with us.
Check out the list below:

Giancarlo Esposito is returning to AMC, the home of his Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, in Parish, a thriller set in New Orleans.
Esposito, himself a gearhead, stars as Gracian “Gray” Parish, a family man and proud owner of a luxury car service in The Big Easy.
Speaking at AMC’s TCA press tour, Esposito said New Orleans is a “city of demons”.
“It’s a city that has a majority of churches, more than any other city in America. It’s a city with bars on every corner, where you can party until four in the morning. It seems like a place where you have to make a choice and our show’s a lot about the choices that Gracian Parish makes, whether they be good choices or bad choices and how they affect his family,” he said. “It was so much about the family and community, not only the city,...

“Breaking Bad” star Giancarlo Esposito enters a new criminal underbelly in AMC Networks’ upcoming thriller “Parish.”
In the new trailer for the series, released Tuesday, Esposito stars as Gracian “Gray” Parish, who is forced to return to a dangerous crime syndicate following the brutal murder of his son, which prompts his business to collapse.
“I came back for my family,” Esposito’s Gray says in the trailer. “I would do anything for them.”
“I’m in need of a driver with a particular set of skills,” New Orleans-based Zimbabwean gangster The Horse (Zackary Momoh) tells Gray, to which Gray confidently responds, “Yeah, I can drive.”
From the driver’s seat, Gray quickly realizes the high-risk environment he has thrown himself into — filled with the likes of human traffickers — and swears he’s out after completing the job, but not before his family gets wind of his activities.

Regarding Chicago Pd's Kim Burgess and Adam Ruzek, very few "ships" remain on television that have had quite the journey this pairing has.
And Chicago Pd Season 11 Episode 3 marks a pivotal turning point in their relationship, the series, and television history pertaining to couples.
Burzek has cemented its place amongst some of the most noteworthy couples of television history, and that's not to diminish any of the series or the One Chicago universe's other pairings.
But unlike any of the other pairings over the span of the franchise, Burzek has such a deep, rich history that has kept viewers on edge for a full 11 seasons.
When you consider that, it's no wonder why fans have invested in this pairing. It's no small feat.

Chicago P.D. might have become one of television’s top procedural dramas, but the series is equally well-known among fans for the abundance of steamy romance. One of the show’s most epic romances is between Adam Ruzek, played by Patrick John Flueger, and Kim Burgess, portrayed by Marina Squerciati. The two have been involved in an on-off romance ever since Season 1, and even now, fans aren’t sure what lies ahead for Burgess and Ruzek. Recently, Flueger opened up about his close bond with Squerciati, revealing why their great chemistry contributes to extra-steamy scenes in front of the camera.

‘Chicago P.D.’: Patrick John Flueger Has Told the Writers the Next Burzek Breakup Should Be the Last
Chicago P.D. is well-known for drama and scary situations, but it is very possible that the show’s most enduring legacy will be the romance between Adam Ruzek and Kim Burgess. As portrayed by Patrick John Flueger and Marina Squerciati, the couple known as “Burzek” has weathered many highs and lows since the initiation of their romance in the first season of Chicago P.D. Recently, the two reignited their romance in a big way – and fans are hoping that this time, it is for good. Flueger agrees with these fans, recently admitting that he’s talked to the show’s writers about ensuring that Burgess and Ruzek don’t break up again.

In case you missed it, Burgess and Ruzek are back together on Chicago P.D.
The pair rekindled things in Episode 17 after one of Burgess’ therapy sessions, which exposed how they really felt about each other. Ruzek wanted more in their relationship and believed she didn’t feel the same way. While Burgess couldn’t bring herself to say everything out loud in front of her therapist, she did make her feelings known in private while they were home together.

One of the most enduring plotlines in Chicago P.D. is the on-again-off-again romance between Adam Ruzek and Kim Burgess, portrayed by Patrick John Flueger and Marina Squerciati. The two have been linked since the very first episode of Chicago P.D., and have been going back and forth ever since. While recent seasons have seen Ruzek and Burgess, known affectionately as “Burzek” in the fanbase, take a step back from romance to focus on platonic co-parenting, a Season 10 plot twist changed everything – and now, it could be possible that a wedding lies just around the corner.
