Darby Allin is ready to roll the dice and put it all on the line in the main event of All Elite Wrestling’s Double or Nothing on May 28 in Las Vegas. The daredevil in paint, along with Sammy Guevara and Jungle Boy, challenge Aew champion Mjf for the gold. Darby Allin is the resident daredevil of All Elite Wrestling (Aew), but the self-belief required to take such dangerous risks didn’t apply to all aspects of his career evenly. It does now.
A leap of faith off a 20-foot ladder comes a lot more naturally to Allin than speaking with conviction on a microphone. Now a self-anointed “promo guy,” Allin finally believes in the full scope of his talents. It’s an exciting development for an artist who walks, skates and freefalls to the beat of his own drum. Allin challenges for the Aew World Heavyweight Championship — the company’s top prize — at Sunday’s “Double or Nothing” event, headlining a card chock-full of legends like Chris Jericho, Christian Cage and Bryan Danielson.

It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show features Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, Jim Ross and Chris Jericho on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: Sammy Guevera def. Konesuke Takeshita
My Thoughts: When Sammy Guevara isn’t messing around with the Jsa or p*ssing off fans with over-the-top affection to his wife Tay Melo on TV he Can actually wrestle. And thankfully that’s what happened here, as Gueara and Takeshita really delivered a great opening match. I wouldn’t have had Takeshita lose, but as other have noted – he probably lost to push the Don Callis angle. Which I guess I can live with, if it means Takeshita gets to the next level in Aew.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: House of Black (Brodie King and Malakai Black) def.

Adam Cole and Britt Baker are used to the spotlight as two of the most popular stars in All Elite Wrestling. Yet, opening up their lives outside the ring for new TBS unscripted series Aew: All Access was a different animal. Cameras follow the power couple along with fellow wrestlers Tay Melo, Sammy Guevara The Young Bucks, Saraya, Wardlow, Eddie Kingston, and owner Tony Khan to give viewers an unprecedented peek behind the curtain. During filming, Cole (real name Austin Jenkins), and Baker faced a challenging end of 2022. Cole contemplated if he would ever wrestle again, following two serious concussions in the space of three weeks. This weighed on him physically and mentally as well as his concerned girlfriend. Baker still somehow had to focus on her own career wrestling and then getting off the road to see patients where she’d fill cavities and promote the importance of flossing.

The world is in for a treat when All Elite Wrestling sends the signal from Canada Life Center in Winnipeg on Wednesday, March 15.
Aew Dynamite and Aew Rampage will air from Winnipeg on Wednesday and Friday, respectively, marking only the second time that professional wrestling’s newest major player makes the trek north. Jericho is often considered among the greatest professional wrestlers in history and certainly one of the best to ever represent Canada.
In 2018, Jericho left WWE for a dream match against fellow Winnipeg native Kenny Omega. The match was brokered by another Winnipeg professional wrestling personality, Don Callis, and it headlined New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (Njpw) famed Wrestle Kingdom card at the Tokyo Dome. Jericho says it’s fitting for Aew to debut in Winnipeg due to the influence that match had on the eventual formation of Aew.

We had another Aew pay-per-view this past weekend, so you know what that means… A bonus Saturday episode of Aew: Dark which thankfully only features a handful of matches rather than the growing number of the regular Dark features! Anyway, on with the review…
Match #1: The Acclaimed def. The Workhorsemen
My Thoughts: A great start to this special extra episode of Dark, with one of my favourite tag teams taking on one of Aew’s most popular tag teams in a match that ended up being a exciting back and forth that thankfully didn’t have The Workhorsemen just lying down and eating the pin.

Another week, another episode of Aew: Dark which this week features seven matches once again… You know I love a shorter show! Anyway, on with the review.
Match #1: Kiera Hogan def. Danika Della Rouge
My Thoughts: This was an Ok match to open the show, I would say this was akin to an Aew quasi-squash but Rouge managed to get just enough offence in to make it look like more of a competitive match-up.
My Score: 2 out of 5 Match #2: Brian Cage def. Carl Randers
My Thoughts: After seeing Brian Cage’s match on Elevation this felt like a massive comedown and a return to the kinds of squash matches we’ve seen from him in the past. A shame.
My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #3: Sammy Guevara and Daniel Garcia def. Brian Cook & Deimos

My Score: 1 out of 5 Match #2: The Workhorsemen def. The Hughes Brothers

Andrade El Idolo and Sammy Guevara, two stars of All Elite Wrestling, were reportedly involved in a real-life backstage fight ahead of Wednesday’s (October 5) episode of Aew Dynamite on TBS. According to TMZ, the incident occurred backstage at the Entertainment & Sports Arena in Washington, D.C., where Wednesday’s edition of Dynamite took place. Words were apparently exchanged before things turned physical, with initial reports stating that Guevara pushed Andrade, who responded by throwing punches. Andrade was allegedly sent home following the altercation. Aew president and CEO Tony Khan revealed on Twitter that Andrade had been removed from a match scheduled to take place this Friday on Aew Rampage on TNT. Guevara, however, remained on the card for Wednesday’s Dynamite, where he wrestled in the show’s main event, teaming with current Ring of Honor World Champion Chris Jericho. Friday’s bout @Pres10Vance vs @AndradeElIdolo is off.
