Gaumont Animation and Studio 100 Media announced on Thursday a first-look pact to co-produce and distribute animated, kids and family TV series and films around the globe.
Gaumont Animation is the producer of award-winning series including Apple TV+’s “Stillwater” and “Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles” on Amazon, while Studio 100 Media, is home to series and films such as “Maya The Bee,” “Vic the Viking,” “Heidi “and “Mia and Me.”
“We are thrilled to embark on this global partnership with Studio 100 Media,” said Terry Kalagian, president of Global Animation, Kids & Family in a statement shared with TheWrap. “By combining our strengths and leveraging our collective experience, we are poised to deliver compelling and high-quality animated content that resonates with audiences across the globe.”

Tubi has announced the casting and director for “Crushed,” a coming-of-age comedy set to premiere this April on Fox Entertainment’s ad-supported streaming service.
“Crushed” follows Kate (Bebe Wood), a romantic high schooler who has a huge crush on classmate Jason (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). But, as she unsuccessfully tries to get together with Jason during their senior class trip, things spiral out of control.
In addition to Wood and Chavez, “Crushed” also stars Brenna D’Amico (“Descendants: Wicked World”), Valerie Azlynn (“Sullivan & Son”), Kylee Russell (“Zombies: Addison’s Monster Mystery”), Lisa Yamada (“All of Us Are Dead”), Meg Wright (“Jeepers Creepers III”) and Bailey Stender (“Pop Music High”).

Apple TV Plus has unveiled its newest children’s programs, including “Stillwater,” an animated series based on the Scholastic book series “Zen Shorts” by Jon J. Muth.
Produced by Gaumont and Scholastic Entertainment, the series centers on three siblings who have a wise panda, Stillwater, for a next-door neighbor. The show premieres on the streaming service on Dec. 4.
Through stories and humor, Stillwater the panda helps provide “children a deeper understanding of their feelings, as well as mindfulness tools that help them face their own day-to-day challenges,” according to Apple TV Plus.
