David Frenkel was born on September 17, 1915 in Jaffa, Palestine. He was a director, known for Mafish Fayda (1936). He died on December 31, 1994 in Montgeron, Essonne, France.
David Frenkel continued in France after WWII in the movie business. He was a friend from youth of Victor Stoloff.
The Frenkel family was expelled to Egypt by the Turks at the beginning of WWI. They had a successful furniture business in Alexandria, Egypt. The three boys Herschel, Shlomo and David were enthralled by movies and decided to form an Egyptian cartoons production company in the 1930s.
