PHM shares news of today's pressing health concerns and interviews including those with Montel Williams and the benefits of CBD Oils; Fran Drescher's cancer survival and Cancer Schmancer organization; Deepak Chopra's MetaHuman and reaching your infinite potential; along with expert advice from medical experts across the nation and the world. Angelina and her staff examine mental health issues and have topics like Mob Mentality, Overcoming Anxiety, Living with PTSD, Addiction, Emotional Intelligence, and much more.
"I've always been intrigued with biology, health, and human behavior," she said. "It's my curiosity and need to understand that drives my passion for writing and reporting."
A Brooklyn native, Angelina is no stranger to the polarities of urban neighborhoods, racism, and economic inequalities. As an adolescent, she used poetry as a means of expressing her emotions, events she's witnessed, and the journeys of her life. It is this upbringing that sparked her interest in journalism.
Angelina attended St. John's University's School of Professional Studies, where she studied Journalism, occasionally writing for its student newspaper, The Torch, and local newspapers in her town. After receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Journalism, she entered a competitive internship for NY Newsday on Long Island, where she spent 5 months honing her skills. Three months later, she began her career at the New York Post.
Excited to begin life as a reporter, she entered her journalism career just one month shy of the tragic events of 9/11. Thrown into a world turned upside down by terrorism, fear, and uncertainty, Angelina witnessed and reported on many tragedies and public accounts of the historic event. She has interviewed some of New York's prominent leaders including Mayor Rudolph Guiliani, EPA's Christine Todd Whitman, Mayor Mike Bloomberg, Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, and several emergency workers in and around New York's Metropolitan area. During her time at the NYPost she has also interviewed the likes of former President Bill Clinton, NBA star Marcus Camby, Model Heidi Klum, and has written for travel and real estate for fun.
In 2007, and after the birth of her firstborn child, she turned away from the news to begin work as a Branding Officer for B2B and B2C companies both nationally and internationally. After more than 10 years in the branding industry, Angelina turned her experience and knowledge of media into helping propel the careers of doctors and healthcare practitioners at the Patient Preferred Network, where she helped promote clients as thought-leaders and experts in their respective fields through various media and branding techniques. Today, the Patient Preferred Network remains one of the top branding companies in America with some of today's most distinguished healthcare providers.
In 2017, she became publisher of Preferred Health Magazine and swiftly garnered a following within the healthcare industry. With a vast knowledge of the news business and strong ties with key members of the media - P.H.M. was able to obtain captivating interviews with top celebrities, physicians, and experts on all topics of health, beauty, technology, nutrition, and exercise. PHM's prime purpose is to bring light to various health issues, the latest medical and cosmetic treatments, procedures, and advice from today's top health experts. PHM has interviewed top celebrities including Deepak Chopra, Larry King, Fran Drescher, Montel Williams, Randy Spelling, Glenn Close, and several other notable celebrities and top doctors.
"I love nothing more than getting to know someone on a more personal level," said the Publisher who also enjoys writing and interviewing for the publication. "I want readers to pick up Preferred Health Magazine and say, 'I was just wondering about that' and get the answers they were seeking. I want them to learn something new. I want our readers to make informed decisions about their health and live their best lives."
When Angelina isn't creating newsworthy material, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, gardening, and photography.
