Austin Hammonds is an American composer for film and TV based in Los Angeles California. Hailing from Ashland Kentucky, Hammonds has a rich education in both classical music and music for the screen. During his studies Austin attended Morehead State University in Kentucky where he studied classical saxophone. He would then go on to focus on his passion for film music at the University of Miami's highly acclaimed Frost School of Music and the University of California's Thornton School of Music where he graduated with two Master's degrees in Film Scoring.
Austin's success at USC quickly garnered the attention of world renowned composer Hans Zimmer, who would invite
him to join the multi-award winning composer team Bleeding Fingers Music. In 2021 he wrote the theme and co-composed the
score for BBC America's Eden: Untamed Planet. Modeling composers that inspired him in his youth such as John Williams and John Powell, Hammonds prides himself on composing music with a strong emphasis on orchestral writing. Hammonds continues to seek
opportunities to introduce his colorful orchestral style to television and film.
