“RuPaul’s Drag Race” completed the 5th installment of its “All Stars” spin off on Friday July 24 with the finale episode “Clap Back!” where Jujubee, Shea Coulee and Miz Cracker vied for the coveted crown.
In the penultimate episode on July 17 the final four queens faced off in a stand-up comedy smackdown. Cracker won for the third time in the season and faced off against the secret lip sync assassin Kennedy Davenport and won. Instead of taking the opportunity to eliminate her biggest competition, Cracker said goodbye to her friend Blair St. Clair.
This season, instead of two of queens performing lip syncs for their legacies, the week’s challenge winner will go up against a non-competing queen deemed a “lip sync assassin.” If the season 5 all-star wins, she gets a $10,000 tip and gets to decide who to boot. If she loses, the tip gets added to the jar for the...

Stand-up comedy isn't easy. Crafting structured jokes that fit into a funny narrative takes a lot of work. It's not just all about throwing shade.
On RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 7, the queens were tasked with one of the toughest Maxi Challenge formats. (Even more so than the superstar mash-up to a RuPaul song.)
With pressure mounting and the crown on the line, did "Stand-Up Smackdown" land the punchline or get pulled off-stage?
Overall, "Stand-Up Smackdown" is a pretty simple round that didn't offer much drama or surprises.
With only four queens left in the competition, this round was an uneventful penultimate race to the final battle. Sure, we got a few laughs, but the main focus was about figuring out which three queens would be competing in the finals and which final queen would get the chop.
This is a journey episode. A filler round to get...

The penultimate episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 5 was no laughing matter. For this week’s challenge, the remaining four queens faced off in a stand-up comedy smackdown, even if the contestants couldn’t seem to settle on the same definition of the word “comedy.”
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Before the queens even started writing their jokes, Miz Cracker got the drama started with some openly shady placements; as last week’s top All Star, she got to decide the order in which the comedians would perform. “Nobody’s getting a good spot!” she declared.

Blair St. Clair, a fan-favorite contestant from Season 10 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” is one of the four remaining queens on the fifth cycle of “All Stars.” Yet she’s the only one to not win a challenge. Shea Coulee and Miz Cracker have both won two comps, while Jujubee won a single challenge. Even one of the eliminated queens — India Ferrah — managed to eke out a victory, though she appeared in the bottom every week after that before ultimately being cut in the “Snatch Game” episode. Despite her underwhelming track record, Blair now declares she is “fighting to the end.”

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” continued the 5th installment of its “All Stars” spin off on July 3 with the queens revealing their best celebrity impersonations in “The Snatch Game of Love.” In that fifth episode, RuPaul Charles changed the rules once again — no longer would there be a set of bottom queens, but rather any contestant not picked as the top queen would fall to the bottom and be vulnerable to elimination. As the top of the week, Shea Coulee was faced with the option of getting revenge on Alexis Mateo after India Ferrah disclosed that Alexis had campaigned to get Shea out earlier in the season. While she was tempted by that option, Shea went by performance metrics and ultimately sent India home on her fourth straight week in the bottom.

Oh, honey! It's time for a ball.
The queens brought their high-fashion looks to the backyard on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 6. A country twist, a crafty challenge, and voting tension made this a pleasant round of Drag Race.
Although, the excitement stayed pretty mellow all week. "The Charles Family Backyard Ball" is a return to a typical filler week.
Even after the events of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 5 ended with India Ferrah's elimination, the ghost of India still plagued the Werk Room.
The after-effects of that drama proved why it was a powerful reality TV moment. The queens were still reeling from the chaos caused, and just when you thought they moved past it, another discovery pulled them (and us as viewers) back in.

The highly anticipated Snatch Game of Love finally arrived on Friday’s Drag Race All Stars, even if there wasn’t much love to be felt in the workroom. From some shady predictions to a possible conspiracy, the real challenge was being played behind the scenes.
It all began with the dramatic Ru-veal that everyone voted for Mayhem Miller to be sent home — including Mayhem. “You never give up on your dreams!” Shea Coulee fumed. Miz Cracker then shifted the conversation to a discussion about the season’s top three, asking her fellow queens to weigh in with any clear frontrunners.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” continued the 5th installment of its “All Stars” spin off on June 26 with the queens showing off their most dramatic improv skills. In that fourth episode, Miz Cracker was declared the overall winner of the week, outperforming her scene partners Jujubee and Blair St. Clair in the process. After her lip sync against secret assassin Morgan McMichaels ended in a tie, there was an opportunity for two queens to go home but both Cracker and the jury of losers selected Mayhem Miller to sashay away so we only said goodbye to one.
This season, RuPaul Charles has changed the All Stars rules once again. Instead of two of queens performing lip syncs for their legacies, the week’s challenge winner will go up against a non-competing queen deemed a “lip sync assassin.” If the season 5 all-star wins, she gets a $10,000 tip and gets to decide who to boot.

The competition on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 5 is really heating up, which means it's time to start thinking about frontrunners. E! News has your exclusive first look at the beginning of this week's episode, in which the remaining queens do just that. They even seem to be in agreement on the top three or four, and the queens on the bottom certainly know it at this point. Shea Coulee says she thinks Miz Cracker is at the top, with Jujubee in second and Shea herself in third, but Alexis Mateo thinks Juju's winning, while Juju thinks Blair St. Clair is up there too. One queen who knows she's got to step it up is India Ferrah, who won the first challenge of the season but...

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” continued the 5th installment of its “All Stars” spin off on June 19 with the queens working in small groups to promote boutique hotel experiences. In that third episode, Jujubee was declared the overall winner of the week despite Blair St. Clair and Mayhem Miller creating the judges’ favorite hotel room concept. As the winner, Juju faced off against the week’s lip sync assassin Monet X Change, but lost which meant that the jury of losing queens got to vote to eliminate their consensus choice, Mariah Paris Balenciaga, from the season.

After narrowly escaping elimination last week, Shea Coulee admits that she feels like she dodged a bullet atop Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars (VH1, 8/7c). But whens he finds out which two queens tried to vote her out, Shea goes from target… to hunter.
This week’s sneak peek picks up with Mayhem Miller awkwardly revealing that she chose Shea’s lipstick because she falsely assumed that everyone would take advantage of such a strong competitor ending up in the bottom. “This backfired on my ass,” Mayhem admits.

Pure and unfiltered reality TV strategy dominated the round on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 3.
From the barbs directed at Miz Cracker to the sneaky votes on Shea Couleé, the queens finally came out to play the game. It's not just about the talent competition anymore. To win the crown, they're making the moves to get to the top.
Some of it was plain strategy while others played a mean girl/manipulative role to get the job done. All is fair in love and reality TV.
The biggest change in narrative came from Alexis Mateo. The dancing pageant queen assumed the villain edit that Miz Cracker once had during RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 2.
Alexis' narrative became all about needing to get ahead and calling people out if they didn't agree with her version of game morality. What's surprising about this is that her actions and...

Claws are out in full force! It's only RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 2 and the queens have already let the drama of the competition get to them.
Side-eye, shady confessionals, and cutting remarks were the name of the game. And most of it inadvertently came from Miz Cracker.
The All Stars format can sometimes bring out the worst in a competitor.
A lot has changed since the days of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10. Miz Cracker went from top queen/Miss Congeniality potential to now potential season villain.
Her arc throughout "I'm In Love" spanned from shady boots to redemption forgiveness. Usually, this takes a couple of episodes to happen, but the story rounded itself by the end to give her character humility.
What she said to Ongina at the Werk Room table was shady.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” kicked off the 5th installment of its “All Stars” spin off on June 5 with a jam-packed “All Star Variety Extravaganza.” In that premiere, the real world and social media feud between all stars Derrick Barry and India Ferrah took center stage. Miz Cracker might want to change her name to Miz Chief after the shenanigans she pulled on Friday’s episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars.
Right off the bat, the salty li’l thing announces to her fellow queens that she’s been up all night wondering whether she voted for the right person last week. “I feel I should have brought in some White-Out,” she tells the girls, none of whom prompted this shady confession. Turning to Ongina, Cracker then says, “Derrick [Barry] and Mayhem [Miller] believed they could do it, and you didn’t believe in yourself, and that’s an all-star thing.

New season, new contestants, and a whole new game. RuPaul wasn't kidding when he said that All Stars' rules were suspended indefinitely.
The queens experienced a new strategic and competitive landscape on RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 5 Episode 1.
The road to the crown won't be as easy with lipsync battles and making majority alliances anymore. It's a refreshing change that balanced the power and made the competition unpredictable (to an extent).
First things first: I love the new rules for RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Previously, the power solely came down to the Top 2 winning queens and which bottom queen they wanted to see get the chop. The responsibility got squarely placed on their shoulders, which unfortunately gave them the brunt of the backlash from queens and fans.
Let's not forget Naomi Smalls getting undeserved outrage over eliminating Manila Luzon during RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars Season 4 when...

Hold onto the edge of your seat, squirrel friends: The fifth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” is being shaken up.
This season there are new ways to get eliminated and new rules when it comes to lip syncing for one’s legacy, VH1 announced Thursday.
Instead of selecting the top two queens of the week and having them perform opposite each other, as has been tradition in the “All Stars” spinoff of the “Drag Race” franchise, host and executive producer RuPaul will select only one top “All Star” per episode. Then that queen will lip sync against a “mysterious lip sync assassin,” as the Viacom network puts it. Who are these special guests? Some of the most iconic performers from past seasons. If the competing queen wins the lip sync, she wins a $10,000 tip an the power to eliminate the bottom queen of her choice — but if she loses to the assassin,...

Shantay, they stay… at VH1.
After the February announcement that “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” would move from VH1 to Showtime for its fifth season, producers revealed on Friday that the series will in fact remain on VH1 when it premieres on June 5. Both networks are owned by ViacomCBS.
The initial decision to move “All Stars” to Showtime caught some flack from fans displeased that they would need to subscribe to the pay cable network to see it. But in a press release, the decision to keep “All Stars” on VH1 was chalked up to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which “resulted in various scheduling and programming adjustments.”
The release also officially revealed the cast of 10 previous contestants on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” who are returning to compete for the $100,000 top prize and a place in the “Drag Race Hall of Fame,” alongside previous winners Chad Michaels (Season 1), Alaska (Season...

The new season will premiere on June 5. In a statement, host and executive producer RuPaul promised an exciting new season.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” co-executive producer Jacqueline Wilson has died, inspiring an outpouring from the show’s cast and crew on social media. Her cause of death was not immediately known.
Series host and executive producer RuPaul Charles broke the news on Twitter Tuesday writing, “I could never express in words her invaluable contribution to the success of ‘Drag Race,’ and to all the lives of those who were fortunate enough to have worked alongside her. Love always, my friend.”

When Brandon Stansell was scouting beach locations to film his new video, his manager offered a suggestion: El Matador beach in Malibu, California. They liked the spot, where performer Blair St. Clair (with whom Stansell shares management) had also filmed her latest video, for its natural beauty and because it was usually deserted.
“He was like, ‘Oh, you should definitely go there. It’s beautiful and no one’s there,'” says Stansell, calling from his home in Los Angeles. “And when we got there, there were like 200 people on the beach.

“RuPaul’s Drag Race” star Bianca Del Rio was criticized over a comedy routine at Montreal Pride on Friday which included several jokes about rape and fellow “Drag Race” contestant Blair St. Clair’s experience with sexual assault.
“Then you’ve got that other bitch, ‘I was raped!'” said Del Rio of St. Clair, suggesting that the claim was intended to boost her sagging position on the show. “You notice she wasn’t raped until she was in the bottom two? Think about that, bitch. That’s strategy. that’s f—ing strategy!”
“Oh f— you, rape is funny if you haven’t had it,” Del Rio said before delivering the kicker.

Nearly ten years have past to reach this moment. RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 Episode 14 marked the 10th crowning of America's Next Drag Superstar from the main series. And, 13th overall if you include the three winners from RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars.
Aquaria walked away with the crown and scepter; ushering in the latest reign from a fashion queen. She stole the spotlight in one of the most volatile and emotional seasons yet.
We were promised a season that would be "10s, 10s, 10s across the board!" But, did RuPaul's Drag Race Season 10 deliver?
Firstly, the new visual updates to the series were a welcomed improvement.
Don't get me wrong, RuPaul's Drag Race was great before the changes and it didn't need any tinkering around. We were all fine with the brown walls in the Werk Room. However, the sparkly pink walls added more flair to the already energetic studio.
