The 2024 CMT Music Awards are just wrapping up on Sunday night (April 7) at the Moody Center in Austin, Tex.
The annual awards show honored the best of country music videos over the past year, and was hosted by Kelsea Ballerini.
Throughout the night, many stars took the stage to present awards and there were several performances, including from Kelsea herself, Keith Urban, Trisha Yearwood, Sam Hunt and a huge group performance by both a reunited Sugarland and Little Big Town, who just announced they’re going on tour together later this year!

During Thursday night’s inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards, Blake Shelton was crowned the social country star of 2023 — a win that puzzled the country legend, to say the least.
“I moved to Nashville in 1994 and man, I had a lot of dreams — this was not one of them,” Shelton said as he received his award at the Thursday night ceremony. “I don’t even know what this means, but if the fans want me to have it, I’m damn well going to put it on my mantle.”
Shelton continued by thanking his country music fans, and relishing in the glory of his new title, jokingly saying “that’s right, social media.”

The iconic host pairing marks the first time Brooks will take the stage to host an awards show, fresh off the heels of his world tour, which became the biggest North American tour in history after selling more than 6.3 million tickets, and ahead of his upcoming Las Vegas residency. The CMT Music Awards announced their nominations three weeks ago including an initial 16 contenders for Video of the Year. After the first stage of voting, that list was narrowed down to six on March 27. The race will further be whittled down to its final three on April 2, the morning of the show. The final stage of voting will be conducted throughout the day of the ceremony until the ultimate winner is announced at the end of the night.

The 2023 Stagecoach Festival lineup was announced today for the 15th edition of the country music festival. Headlining will be Luke Bryan, his fourth time as a top billing, with Kane Brown and Chris Stapleton moving up to claim main attraction status as well.
Also claiming a spotlight are Jon Pardi, Brooks & Dunn, Old Dominion, Riley Green, Gabby Barrett and Parker McCollum.
Promoter Goldenvoice announced the performers and dates Monday morning. The next fest will take place April 28 – 30, 2023, with passes going on sale Friday at 10 a.m. Pt. The festival is held on the grounds of Indio’s Empire Polo Club, which is also the site of the annual Coachella festival, which will be held just before Stagecoach.

After Amazon’s Prime Video became the first streaming service to exclusively air a major awards show with the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards this year, the two sides are doing it all over again for next year’s ceremony. The Country Music Awards will return to Prime Video and be livestreamed exclusively for a global audience in 2023, the platform announced today.
