- Leo Naim Konforti is Bulgarian actor of Jewish origin. He was born on February 21, 1911 in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. Leo Konforti had only secondary education. He had known the misery, but he was in love with the theater. He had participated in school performances, where he acted as a talented improviser. In 1935, he was admitted to the Theater School of Nikolai Masalitinov at the National Theatre. After graduation he had played in Ruse and Burgas. In 1946, he was accepted into the troupe of the Youth Theatre. Since 1950, he had played in the National Theatre. There he had continued the tradition developed by the great masters of the episode. His brief appearances were so colorful that always have remembered by the audience. In the cinema we will remember him as Nasreddin Hodzha from "Cookie Monster". Numerous appearances in the stage, radio and television brought him a great fame. Leo Konforti was superb in "Price" by Arthur Miller. On the stage and in life he radiated a rare warmth and kindness. He married Stefka Katzarska - very talented actress. He died on March 8, 1970 in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Kostadin Rusakov was born on 19 September 1929 in Dupnitza, Bulgaria. He was a production designer and costume designer, known for Zarevo nad Drava (1974), Die Mahnung (1982) and S detza na more (1972). He died on 18 October 2001 in Sofia, Bulgaria.- Writer

Vasil Akyov was born on June 6, 1924 in Dupnitsa, Bulgaria. Some of his works are: "Republic of mortals" (novel, 1966), "And the day came" (novel, 1967), "Worlds" (criticism, 1968), "Joker" (novel, 1977). He is author of scenarios: " Birds and hounds " (1969) (directed by Gueorgui Stoyanov), "Tiger" (1972), (directed by Mariana Evstatieva - Biolcheva ), " And the day came " (1973) (directed by Georgi Djulgerov ), " Panteley " (1978) (directed by Gueorgui Stoyanov), " House " (1979) (directed by Stefan Dimitrov). There are many his publications in the magazine "Torch." He died on February 7, 1989. Vasil Akyov receives posthumous award of Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers for Lifetime Achievement.
