With "Armadillo" (2010) Danish director Janus Metz (born 1974) stepped firmly into the international spotlight winning the Grand Prix of the Cannes film festival 's Critic's week. His film about a group of Danish soldiers at the front line in Afghanistan spurred heated debate, not only about the war but also about the boundaries between fiction and documentary filmmaking. With his debut narrative feature "Borg/McEnroe" (2017), Metz made an even bigger splash opening the Toronto Film Festival. Metz has also directed an episode of the acclaimed TV.series "True Detective" as well as 3 episodes of the series "ZerZeroZero". Metz holds a master degree in visual anthropology and his body of work also include shorts, commercials, art films and music videos.- Actor

Frank Hvam grew up with dogs and ducks on a farm in Ørum Sønderlyng - 14 kilometers off Viborg in Jutland, Denmark. He helped his father take care of the dogs in the family hobby kennels. Spending his childhood as a young 'Dr. Doolittle' led him to the idea, that he would make a good veterinary. So in 1992 he attended the Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University in Copenhagen. Here he met famed Danish stand-up comedian Jan Gintberg, who studied agriculture. After two years studying, he decided to leave the cows and go for comedy. He had his debut as a stand-up comedian at legendary comedy club 'Din's' in 1995. His shows led to a job as writer on the Mette Lisby show 'Ugen der gak' (Danish TV2). Soon he got his own show Alt under kontrol (TV3). From here he was headhunted for for the making of the hit series _Casper og Mandrilaftalen (1999)_ (Danish DR1) - which he created with Casper Christensen, Lars Hjortshøj og Lasse Rimmer. On the show he starred in a number of roles including the sympathic naziphedofile cannibal Gentleman Finn. This led to the making of the first Danish fullscale sit-com _Langt fra Las Vegas (2001)_, which is written by Frank Hvam, Casper Christensen and scriptwriter 'Lars Kjeldgaard'.- Director

A.W. Sandberg was born on 22 May 1887 in Viborg, Denmark. He was a director and writer, known for 7-9-13 (1934), Manden med de ni Fingre III (1916) and Manden med de ni Fingre IV (1916). He was married to Else Frölich, Karen Caspersen and Ruth Jacobsen. He died on 27 March 1938 in Bad Nauheim, Hesse, Germany.- Anders Randolf was born Anders Randrup in Denmark 1870.
His parents were Matthius Randrup and Kristine Jensen. He had a number of siblings - two of which were sisters Kirstine Randrup born in 1884 and Jensine Marie Randrup born 1880. He grew up on Old Rybjergaard farm, living with an Aunt rather than his parents. Her name was Marie (Randrup) and she was married to Anders Kristian Jensen.
Anders moved to the USA around 1890-1893. When Anders first got to the USA he went to live with an Aunt in Denver. When she died a short time later he moved to Chicago and entered the army. He became an officer and taught fencing. In 1912 he moved to New York and started working for movie studio Vitagraph.
He got married in the United States. His wife was Dorthea Amdersine Jorgensen (b. 1890) and she was from Denmark. They had one daughter Karen Kristine Randolf (1917-1989). After his death in 1930 there was a grand funeral in Hollywood. A short time later his wife and daughter moved back to Denmark.
In 1942 his daughter had one son who was named Peter Michael Mogens Randolf. (Father unclear but her son was given the Randolf surname)) His Grandson Peter married (Kirsten) and they had a son named Anders Peter Randolf II, born July 26,1973. She is the author of numerous books about art and artists and worked as an influential arts critic for Danish newspapers like Weekendavisen and Information. She was chairman for the Society of Danish Arts Critics and reviewer of Scandinavian art for Burlington Magazine. In 1983 with Torben Glarbo and Anne Vinterberg she also directed a documentary about the Danish sculptress Sonja Ferlov Mancoba. In 1961 she married medieval age archaeologist Tage E. Christiansen (died 1984). She lived in England 1951-60, married to art historian Denys Miller Sutton.

Jesper Myrthue was born on 9 March 1976 in Viborg, Denmark. He is known for Sange fra baggrunden (2006), Kirken (2007) and The Boy Who Couldn't Swim (2011).- Jens Horstmann has always been a name in the world of theatre. This young method-actor proved at an early stage, that his talent could reach the top. Born in Viborg, Denmark, in 1979, he starred in several plays in his school years. He starred in the two famous agent-thrillers in 1992-1994, where his reputation started spreading all over the country. Later, he starred in two musicals, "Atlantis" (1996) and "West Side Story" (1998), both local. In between, he appeared in an open-air performance that were to grasp the audience with awe. In 1999 he went on to tour the country with "A dreamplay" by August Strindberg. Despite his age, he has starred in several TV-shows and is considered one of Denmarks most promising actors. Though occupied mostly in theatre at the moment, he will soon appear in another thriller.
