He studied at the music conservatory in Stockholm 1918-1920 and at the music conservatory in Weimar 1920-1922. From the mid 1920s he wrote the music for Ernst Rolf's and Karl Gerhard's revues. He was a bandleader, had his own publishing company, 'Edition Sylvain' and wrote music for movies, especially during the 1940s when he was musical advisor for the production company Svensk Filmindustri (SF). For the last 20 years of his life he lived abroad, including a few years on Fiji as a banana planter. One of Sweden's most hardworking composers, he wrote more than 500 melodies, including 'Säg det i toner', 'Nu ska vi vara snälla', 'Anna, du kan väl stanna' and 'Tangokavaljeren'.- Loló Trillo was born in 1903 in Madrid, Spain. She was an actress, known for La justicia de Pancho Villa (1939), Divorciadas (1943) and El crimen del expreso (1939). She was married to José Ortiz de Zárate. She died on 1 November 1968 in Mexico, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
