After his work for Warner Brothers in the early 1930s, he later became public-relations counsel in Detroit, Michigan. He joined ASCAP in 1926, and his chief musical collaborators were M. K. Jerome, Jesse Greer, Jack Meskill, Alfred Bryan, Buddy Fields, Sam Coslow, Maurice Spitalny and Russ Morgan.
