- Danny("Rigo") was a very promising and exciting young actor. His tragic early death from a brain haemorrhage robbed Australia of one of its most natural stage and screen actors. DeVallon was a writer and producer, known for Hell Ship Mutiny (1957), The Pace That Thrills (1952) and Slaves of Babylon (1953). DeVallon died on 24 November 1997 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.- Novelist, war correspondent and screenwriter whose reporting from World War II's Pacific Theater earned him a 1943 Pulitzer Prize. His 1943 novel "Tucker's People" was basis for the film-noir Force of Evil (1948), whose screenplay he co-wrote as well. His 1945 book "American Guerilla in the Philippines" was basis for the 1950 film of the same title.
