Paul Wilson was born in London, England, on 15 March 1925. His first job in the film industry was at the Gainsborough studios at Lime Grove, Shepherds Bush, which was later taken over by the BBC.
He operated on several films with cinematographer Arthur Ibbetson. These included Where Eagles Dare (1968) and Anne of the Thousand Days (1969). He went on to operate on numerous features before moving into special effects for several James Bond and Superman films.
He was interviewed by David A. Ellis for his book Conversations with Cinematographers.- Jonathon is a professionally trained actor and dancer. He began his dance training in jazz, tap and modern at the age of four.
He is professionally trained, and has professional experience, in Ballroom and Latin American.
Jonathon is originally from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, and moved to London at the age of 18 to attend the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts. Three years later he graduated Mountview with a BA (Hons) in Performance (Acting Option).
Since leaving drama school Jonathon has appeared in an array of productions on stage and screen, both as actor and dancer, ranging from Shakespeare's Twelfth Night and Timon of Athens through to brand new writings Steam and the devised play Miss Caroline, via way of the feature film The Other Boleyn Girl and the TV mini-series Lost in Austen.
