- October 16th, 1984: Gregory, a 4 year old boy goes missing. Hours later, he's found dead in the Vologne River, wrists and ankles bound.
- Nelie takes the identity of Rose, a young woman from a good family, who dies in front of her. She presents herself in her place at Madame de Lengwil's house, to become the reader of this wealthy woman.

- The Mysteries of Faith - a young woman (of questionable virtue) arrives to stay at a cloister, curiosity is expressed by the nuns to the mother superior. When the woman is found murdered, Captain Marleau arrives to determine the facts.
