She meets washed-up actress Donny (Blanche Sweet) on the lot and they become friends. Frank is fired from his studio and the new director finds that Frank's storyline is actually a copy of 'Rainbow Girls,' the Broadway stage play. They call Jimmy, the author and Dixie's boyfriend, for the rights and he goes to Hollywood to produce it as a movie. Dixie gets the lead, but things start going wrong when dizzy Dixie, spurred on by the fired Director Buelow, thinks that she is better than the picture or the studio and starts to make demands. Interesting note: Good look at early Hollywood, with cameos by Loretta Young, Walter Pigeon, Noah Beery and a young Noah Beery, Jr. make the film fun to watch.

The music video opens with the band performing on a stage surrounding by movie screens featuring clips from the film Lethal Weapon 4 (1998). As they perform, they are watched by people in welding masks.
- Victoria Winters arrives at Collinwood, a Gothic mansion on a cliff overlooking the ocean near the small seaport Maine town of Collinsport, as the recently hired governess to the 10-year-old troubled David Collins. David's gruff father, Roger, distrusts Victoria from the start while his mysterious widow sister Elizabeth is more hospitable. When the simpleton and trouble making ground keeper Willie Loomis, the nephew of Collinwood housekeeper Mrs. Johnson, decides to break into the family crypt to look for and steal a stash of family jewels, he inadvertently opens a coffin and releases vampire Barnabas Collins who has been imprisoned inside the crypt for 200 years. Barnabas then drains part of Willie's blood and makes him his unwilling human slave and daytime protector. Barnabas then introduces himself as a "distant cousin from England" to the rest of the Collins family while plotting to prey on the population of the town. Daphne Collins, the cousin of Carolyn Collins, is Barnabas' first victim. As the body count climbs, local sheriff George Patterson and professor Michael Woodward call upon Dr. Julia Hoffman to help them investigate the mysterious vampire attacks. Barnabas then sets about to restore the Old House for him to live in and when he meets Victoria for the first time, he sees her as a reincarnation of his lost love Josette. Both Barnabas and David separately catch a glimpse of the ghost of Sarah Collins, Barbabas' long-dead nine-year-old sister.
- After being bitten a second time, Daphne rises a vampire. She attacks David then her boyfriend, who falls under her spell. Dr. Hoffman discovers Barnabas's secret and offers to cure him. Roger's affair with Maggie hides an ulterior motive.
- Dr. Julia Hoffman begins her experiments to cure Barnabas of his vampirism. Meanwhile, Professor Woodard attempts to uncover the identity of the vampire and begins to suspect Barnabas, but Julia will do anything to keep him from finding out. Victoria begins to fall for Barnabas who becomes haunted by his guilt and of his lost love Josette. Also, David begins having nightmares about Daphne, Carolyn and Victoria turning into vampires and attacking him. Sarah later tells David that a newer evil exists.
- Dr. Hoffman continues her treatments with Barnabas Collins. Victoria is led to Sarah Collin's diary. An apparition from the past haunts Barnabas and Willie. Elsewhere, clairvoyant Maggie Evans believes young David is possessed.
