- One Fourth Gone is a musical film about a young man named Barry, who uses the magic of music to escape his internal feelings of combating and making peace with his obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). It's a heartfelt story filled with compassion and determination that tackles family issues and the urge to be loved and accepted as he is. Through his journey he learns to cope and make amends with his brother's lack of acknowledgement of his feelings concerning his issues with their father and his struggles with mental illness. The musical elements of the story bring a fun and sentimental feel to a dramatic plot all while bringing awareness to serious issues. This film is currently a short for a senior thesis, which I hope to one day make into a feature length musical or Broadway show. My vision for the film were inspired by the cinematic feel of Baby Driver and Dear Evan Hansen, all of course with my original story, music, and vision.
- Lilly a young childhood actress always in the limelight for her acting ability reflects on her multiple mishaps in the entertainment world, as she claims that's what ruined her was the only thing she loved and knew best, which was the limelight. She realizes how much it destroyed her when she loose the limelight, and the fame which destroyed her name and yet she is still blood thirsty for it. She contemplates if it's even worth living anymore if she cannot live with it, and discusses if she was even happy with her life when she was in the limelight. Does she live or does she die?
- Marcus Payne (Salman Sheikh) has only one aspiration: to become Student Body president. As such, he's gone to great lengths to ensure that he's a leg up on his entire competition- outspending them on various campaign materials, and even going insofar as to hire his own campaign manager Scott (Jordan Noriega). In his mind, it seems as though his victory is all but assured - that is, until the most popular girl in school- Skylar Morgan (Sara Thiboult) enters the race. With his victory suddenly far from assured, Marcus decides to take matters into his own hands and force Skylar from the competition by any means necessary. After a few unsuccessful attempts at persuading Skylar to leave the race- he enlists the help of an intrepid journalist for the school newspaper (Bailey Cooper) to leak damning misinformation regarding Skylar's personal life. This in turn causes a chaotic spiral of controversy and conspiracy that might do more than determine the victor for the Student Body election."
