- A handsome, diabolical, delusional, but brilliantly seductive psychopathic mastermind invades the psychological space of a talented, happily married, forensic psychologist and her picture-perfect family.
- Time for Beany was an American television series, with puppets for characters, which aired locally in Los Angeles starting in 1949 and nationally (via kinescope) on the improvised Paramount Television Network from 1950 to 1955. It was created by animator Bob Clampett, who later reused its core characters in the animated Beany and Cecil series. The principal characters were Beany, a plucky young boy who wears a beanie; the brave but dimwitted Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent, who claimed to be 300 years old and 35 feet 3 inches tall; Beany's uncle, the pigheaded Captain Horatio Huffenpuff (whose name is a play on Horatio Hornblower), familiarly called Uncle Captain; Dishonest John, whose cape and handlebar mustache clearly identified him as the villain.
- Based on a true story, it is a coming of age story about two life long friends (one white the other black) who compete in a "Stepping" contest with unexpected results. Stepping or step dancing is a form of percussive dance in which the participant's entire body is used as an instrument to produce complex rhythms and sounds through a mixture of footsteps, spoken word, and hand claps. Though stepping may be performed by an individual, it is generally performed by groups of three or more, often in arrangements that resemble military formations.
- The series is set in a tropical South Pacific tea house where glamorous exotically dressed hostesses serve tea while patrons are entertained by popular guest folk musicians. Hosted each Sunday night by Dave Guard, performing several numbers on the weekly shows with his trio, Dave's Place Group. Veteran Australian comedian, Queenie Paul plays the house character who can't be bothered with night club acts.
- The Kingston Trio portraying recent college graduates who are close friends and roommates, the three trade on their status as members of the Junior Chamber of Commerce to play music together as a means of making extra money. "Oh Miss Mary" and "Goin' Away For To Leave You" are featured, along with the Trio staple "Coplas!" and the unreleased John Stewart theme song, "Young Men in a Hurry."
