So the insurance company refuses to pay, claiming that the fire was deliberately set to cover up the money's disappearance, which Perry knows he didn't do. So he sets out to find out who did. What he or anyone doesn't know is that a couple of guys who call themselves "The Firemen's Friend" because they go to fires and serve coffee and donuts to the firemen, were the ones who stole the money by using a fireproof suit and a special hearing aid that can help them open any safe. When Perry runs into them, he notices a few things that are odd.
- The Daily Planet gets a strange visitor who turns out to be a rejected citizen from Mars. It is discovered Mr Zero has a talent that attracts the attention of some local gangsters who draw Mr Zero into their gang.
- Superman gets caught up in a scheme to remove a large collection of diamonds originally stolen during the war. Before he can act he has to understand who the criminals are and who are innocently trying to recover their property.
- A beautiful policewoman is asked to pose as Superman's wife in order to help him break up a gang of bank robbers.
- A nuclear scientist who defected to the U.S. was exposed to nuclear radiation and has only a short time to live has been living in the desert. But agents from his country try to get him to return. Superman stops them but knows there's another agent whom they only by a code number will try to get him. When Clark tells Jimmy and Lois about him they go to see him and because they came in contact with him, they're exposed to the radiation. They decide to flee not knowing they're going into an area where a nuclear device is to be detonated.
- An anti-memory vapor, developed by Professor Pepperwinkle, is stolen and used to commit crimes.
- Perry gets a wire from Lois, who's in Mexico, that she has discovered a donkey with psychic powers. Perry sends Clark down to investigate, and discovers that not only does the "burro" have psychic powers, but it has figured out Clark's secret identity as Superman.'
- Professor Pepperwinkle creates a robot whom he calls Mr. McTavish. It isn't long before Jimmy and Lois learn about him and Professor Pepperwinkle shows him to them. Later Superman shows up but as he is approaching McTavish he starts to feel weak so he leaves. That's when they learn that Professor Pepperwinkle placed a meteorite in McTavish which they deduce is kryptonite. Some men who want to blow up the Daily Planet for a story they did, decides to use McTavish to assemble the bomb so they take him along with Lois and Jimmy. Superman and Professor Pepperwinkle have to try and find them.
- A man wearing armor kidnaps Lois and Jimmy.
- A criminal, who has a kryptonite ray gun, attempts to lure Superman into a trap by kidnapping Lois and Jimmy.

- Before a time limit expires, Superman must find a way to get to a criminal hiding in a giant cube made of incredibly strong material that even the Man of Steel cannot penetrate with his usual powers.
- A criminal who was sent to prison by Superman and the Planet staff goes to the Planet office and tells them of his intention to go after them. They respond that Superman will stop him. Only problem is that he wears a lead mask to conceal his identity and he has other men wearing the same mask. Eventually he captures all of the Planet staff and puts them in a perilous situation and Superman has but minutes to save each one of them.
- Professor Pepperwinkle has developed a way to transmit objects and people through telephone lines. A group of criminals are quick to see the advantage of such a device, and Superman has to stop them before the situation gets out of hand.
- A boy hears a plea on the radio for people to donate clothing to flood victims. So he donates his grandfather's coat. Later, when his grandfather learns what he did, he freaks out, because he had placed his life savings in the lining. His grandson then goes to the Daily Planet and tells Lois what happened. She decides to print the story hoping someone will help. The two men who picked up the clothing for the drive, who are also crooks, read the story and go to get the coat. Eventually Lois gets a lead, so she, Jimmy, and the boy also set out to get the coat. When they arrive at the center, they find someone has already taken the coat. When they find out where he is, the two crooked men show up and pretend to be trying to help. The crooks lock up Lois, Jimmy, and the boy while they go after the coat. Clark, upon learning where Lois is, follows.
- Superman races against time when a circus elephant is stolen. Hundreds of young children risk being disappointed when the elephant promised for a special charity event can't be found.
- 1952–195830mTV-G7.1 (136)TV EpisodeA prospector who has hit it rich donates a silver mine to needy children and names it the "Superman Silver Mine." A crook, who bears a strong resemblance to the prospector, abducts him. The prospector refuses to disclose the location of the mine. Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen are imprisoned while investigating. The crook has a metal plate in his head and Clark uses this fact (and his X-Ray vision) to figure out what's going on. Now, it's up to Superman to bring the criminals to justice and free the prisoners.
- Crooks have constructed a small mobile town. They use it as a speed trap to snare money from unsuspecting motorists. For bigger game, they advertise fifty cent steaks and free coffee to hijack trucks carrying valuable merchandise. After two hijackings, Lois Lane comes upon the "town" and is captured. Now, Clark Kent, Jimmy Olsen and Inspector Bill Henderson are trying to track her down. After they, too, are incarcerated, Clark turns into Superman to shut down the criminal operation.
- Three circus performers use their abilities in various crimes to frame Superman.
- A man accidentally foils a robbery during a slow news day and Perry White builds him up as a crime fighter. Superman has to intercede to help the man when his bravery outstrips his abilities.
- Lois Lane is kidnapped by a third world country after a strange necklace she is wearing indicates she is the reincarnation of that country's legendary queen who'd died 5000 years ago.
- Jimmy accidentally discovers an anti gravity formula, unfortunately he has no idea how it was done due to an accident. This does not stop local criminals and the military taking a deep and urgent interest in the formula.
