- Ancient temples around the world were ingeniously constructed to align to solstice and equinox events. We now know that Magi, Kings, and their astrologers watched the heavens in order to establish accurate zodiacal time, a means by which even the Anunnaki gods used to set their ruler ship term limits. What could possibly go wrong among such highly educated observers and mathematicians of ages past that led to calendar squabbles and new civilizations, including the Mesoamerican Maya? The notion that the calendar was created by and for farmers advising them when to sow and when to reap has been falsely promoted for too long. Many indigenous farmers did not need a formal calendar to know the seasons, and primitive societies have managed to grow sustainable crops for generations without one. So, what is the truth, watch to find out.

- Welcome to "The Bay" ... The pilot opens on the engagement party of Brian Garrett Nelson (Dylan Bruce) and Zoey Johnson (Taylor Stanley), where what's in the air is not all peace and love. Mackenzie Johnson (John Callahan), brother of the bride-to-be, doesn't want the affectionate Christine Nelson (Sandra Robinson) getting too close. Sara Garrett (Mary Beth Evans) can't help but notice that Mac's moving on from his wife's recent death rather well. Tony Foster (Gavin Houston), best man for Brian and the husband of Brian's sis Marly Nelson-Foster (Martha Madison), makes a toast to the couple. Right afterward, Brian receives a disturbing phone call on his cell. He threatens this would-be blackmailer just as Mackenzie, who's a detective, walks in. When Sara compliments Tony on his toast, Marly has tense words for her mother. Sara then meets the new friend of Vivian Johnson (Tanisha Lynn), Will Campbell (Derrell Whitt). When Peter (Kristos Andrews) walks in with his new girlfriend, Lianna Ramos (Jade Harlow), Vivian has to leave with tears in her eyes. Peter then introduces his awkward girl to his mom, and Sara suspects her son has been drinking. Or something. The nuptials are only three days away ...
- Sara finishes confronting Peter about what he's on, while outside Marly is having to explain to Tony why she just can't forgive her mom yet for what she put them through. "With my mother, it's always about what's convenient for her," she tells Tony. Then Marly and Tony encounter Will and Vivian, who says she's upset over something Marly's brother did. In the men's room, Mackenzie quizzes Brian on why he was planning to ditch Zoey and the engagement party - is he cheating on Mac's sister? Zoey knocks on the door of the men's room.
- Vivian explains to Marly that Peter broke up with her in front of the whole school, saying she was inexperienced in bed, and then had the nerve to show up to this party with his new girl Lianna. Tony returns to the party, while Marly, then Will, try to console Vivian. Inside the party, Peter's Uncle Lex (Tristan Rogers) has stepped into the scene with his mom, and things get even uglier when Marly arrives and all three females trade insults. What better than for one more angry gal to arrive - Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar), who informs Sara that Lianna is her flesh and blood. Zoey manages to break up the men's room confrontation, and Christine wants to know from Mac just what is going on. Back outside, Vivian answers Will's consolation with the suggestion they have sex, which Will politely declines. A strange-looking man then walks up, looking for Brian Nelson.
- Janice explains to Sara that she has come to the party to fetch her daughter, who, it turns out, doesn't want to be fetched, even after Lex threatens to arrest Peter. The strange-looking man (Camden Toy) walks past the scene and on to find Brian, who's kissing Zoey. Brian sees him and gets agitated, trying to force him to leave. But the man opens his coat to reveal he's strapped down with explosives. He announces to everyone at the party that he'll blow them all sky-high if Brian doesn't cooperate with him.
- At the home of Tony and Marly, Colleen Givens (Daphne Bloomer) is looking after little R.J. when there's a knock on the door. It's Dr. Keith Campbell (Real Andrews), who explains that he's here to see her, not his patient Marly. Colleen is uncomfortable with this visit, and she tells him so. But Keith alleges that she's working this babysitting gig to somehow compensate for the fact that she gave up her own infant daughter when she was 16. Will Vivian ever forgive me, she asks Keith. At his office. Capt. Elliott Sanders (Charles Shaughnessy) gets a visit. It's his daughter, Isabella, who counters his worries over her safety with the plea that she needs to get out of the house and not live in fear. She then tells her father that she has remembered something about the rape. Back at the engagement party, the creepy Igor Chambers continues to threaten Brian and menace the guests. Igor drops a figurative bomb, if not his literal one: He calls Brian a "closet homosexual."
- Keith charms his way into the apartment while Colleen puts R.J. to bed. When Colleen hears Keith's idea, though, she tosses him out: Keith wants to invite Colleen over for dinner at his place, where his son Will and her daughter Vivian will also be, in the hopes of building a better relationship between Colleen and Vivian. At Capt. Sanders' office, Isabella tells her father that the rapist was wearing a blue sweater. Then she suddenly remembers that someone was taking pictures of the rape. At the party, the psychotically jealous Igor tells the guests that he and Brian slept together, though Brian says he can't prove that. Peter is increasingly agitated at being held hostage in this strange scene.
- On his way out the door, Keith tells Colleen she's "emotional" - he's not enjoying being accused of using her daughter to get her into bed. At the party, Christine tries to talk to Igor, explaining that she's a psychiatrist. Lex then makes a play for Igor, and shots ring out. At the police station, Isabella tells her father that while she was raped, it was someone else - not the rapist - who was taking the pictures of the crime.
- Lex and Igor have been shot, and Mackenzie discovers the bomb Igor was wearing was a fake. Tony and Marly make moves to stop the bleeding for both gunshot victims, but Brian doesn't want Igor to be saved. Isabella arrives home to find a box on her doorstep. In it is a sweater that's all-too familiar, along with an envelope containing photos of the rape. Agitated, she takes the box inside the house. At the shooting scene, Janice is shaken, explaining to her daughter that she has had a recurring dream where she dies in a bomb explosion. Peter, meanwhile, hits the floor and starts to seize, while Vivian and his mother rush to help him.
- Janice rushes Lianna away from the scene in her car, refusing Lianna's request to go to Peter at the hospital. Lianna accuses her mother of living in Sara's shadow. Zoey confronts Brian at the hospital about who on earth this crazy Igor guy is. Brian says he just gave him drinks at the bar and the guy fell in love with him. Capt. Sanders arrives with some serious questions for Brian. Isabel is shaken - and clutching a knife for protection - inside her home. Inside the hospital, Sara tries to follow Peter into the ER but is stopped by Keith, the attending physician.
- Marly and Sara tensely wait on word about Peter at the hospital. Sara tells her daughter that she blames herself. "If I had just been a better parent," she laments. Tony returns home to relieve the babysitter, Colleen, and is confused by all of Colleen's concern about how Vivian is doing in the midst of this tragedy. Marly heads home, and Keith tells Sara that Peter had a seizure and that a lot of drugs were found in his system. Keith recommends rehab for him. Vivian arrives at the ER, followed by Mackenzie (now played by Lane Davies), anxiously wanting to see Peter. Marly places a phone call to a man who calls her "baby girl," telling him Sara needs him in Bay City.
- Vivian pleads with Keith for an exception to see Peter, to no avail. After she leaves, Mackenzie chats with Keith about Igor Chambers, then Colleen arrives looking for Vivian. Keith must awkwardly make excuses when Mac asks who this woman is who's looking for his daughter. When Mac leaves, Keith cautions Colleen about her wig-out in front of Vivian's dad. Christine runs into Mac and asks him to talk over coffee. She's turned down. "You can't keep doing this," she tells him. "I had nothing to do with your wife's death, so stop it!" Peter wakes up at the hospital, with his mother at his side, wondering where he is. Then he wonders who she is. Ouch.
- Mac tells Christine that he never accused her of killing his wife. He just wants to move on from their little fling, but Christine is quite offended by that. As Capt. Sanders is quizzing Brian outside the hospital, Isabel calls on his cell, frantically explaining the box she found outside the house. He rushes toward home. Brian tells Zoey he'll meet her back at the house, then Mac finds Zoey crying after he's left. Inside the hospital, Peter rejects Sara's explanation that she's his mother, saying his mother is Claire. Keith enters the room and sees that Peter has some kind of amnesia. Janice is looking for Lianna, but she's gone, leaving behind an open journal on the bed. As he's driving along, Will finds Lianna deliriously walking by the side of the road, her arms all bloodied.
