A remarkably fresh and interesting two-reel subject, featuring Robert Leonard and Marguerita Fischer. The story illustrates a Scotch ballad and gives the observer as cheerful a series of bright, sunny situations as could be wished. Leonard, who is rapidly developing new powers as a screen artist, appears as the Duke of Gengatl, who masquerades as a bagpiper in order to see something of life and find the girl of his choice. The resulting adventures are very pleasing. A particularly good release. - The Moving Picture World, September 27, 1913
