I'm inserting reviews for films that so far lack one, this is my note on this film...
'Poor early Clair effort, an early aviator crash lands and is recovering in a remote eastern European country, where he falls for the countess, then (spoiler redacted)! The pacing is poor, and confusing, dull!
So far I have managed to see 17 R.Clair films, and I find his work variable, some being excellent 6/7, The Ghost Goes West, And Then There Were None; down to poor 2/7, this & Break the News.
The print I viewsd was a decent restoration, so hopefully someone else will post a more positive view.
